We had a wonderful stay and our toddler declared the playroom was like nursery so that says it all (she loves nursery!!!) Perfect for a young family with everything you need for children and a beautiful rural location for a quiet break. Bude has everything you need and it's a great base to explore north Cornwall!! We would love to visit again.

I cannot fault Gingers cottage! It was the first cottage we have stayed in that I can honestly say was perfect. The location is lovely, right next to lots of footpaths and it was lovely to have a field of lambs next to us. The cottage is a short drive away from Bude and the canal. (Recommend the weir cafe, great park for children, and a scoot alongside the canal!) The cottage was spotlessly clean and well presented with fresh flowers. The cream teas and sparkling wine were lovely to find on arrival plus treats for the children. The cottage is well geared up for children of all ages, the play room had toys for all my children who are 8, 3 and 6months. We can’t wait to go back.

We had a wonderful time at Gingers cottage. The playroom kept our 1 year old entertained for hours. The cottage had everything you needed for a family holiday and more. The small touches made us feel very welcome. We hope we will make it back to Gingers in the future.

Gorgeous cottage with lots of character and very spacious rooms. Everything we needed was provided and the toy room was fantastic for kiddies. The owner was very helpful. The location is incredibly remote, lots of country lanes, but that seems pretty normal for Cornwall! It was lovely to have fizz and a cream tea on arrival too.

For the "old un's" this is the perfect get away from it all holiday. For the "young un's" this is holiday paradise. An old house with old world charm. low beams and uneven floors but cosy and welcoming. We celebrated our 53rd wedding anniversary during our stay and were delighted when Valerie and Sarah handed us an anniversary card and a present. The cream tea and wine on arrival was also very welcome. It is the sort of place I would love to have gone when I was a child. A play room just for children with every sort of toy, a wide screen TV, DVD's and electronic games where the children could quite happily spend their day while the parents put their feet up. A large fenced garden completes the picture. Thoroughly recommended for all ages.

We loved our stay at Gingers Cottage. If you want piece and quiet, this is the place, your only neighbours will be the cows and the sheep. You have to travel to local amenities, however, for discovering North Cornwall it's a great base. It does need updating but it's very comfortable and has everything you will need. The owners were also very helpful and welcoming.

Response on behalf of the owner: This is a four star property which is inspected annually. To future guests, I hope our photos reflect this.
