With views across open countryside from 2 acres of pretty lawned gardens, Gwedna Barns is set in a secluded, wooded, rural spot, on a non-working farm and situated within a World Heritage site. Gwedna Barns consists of three holiday properties with their own garden areas and seating and the use of a children’s play area. The Long Barn (GLP) brims with character and charm, with a split-level living arrangement and cosy open kitchen with a lofty beamed ceiling. The Stable (TE1) has an open-plan living area which has been designed to take in the full height of the building with an exposed beamed ceiling, a wood-burning stove and French doors leading to its own garden with extensive countryside views. Swallows Barn (TE2) successfully blends contemporary facilities with a classic, Cornish granite facade. The property has its own garden with far-reaching views from the seating area and an open-plan living space with a raised living room and door to the garden. The properties are close to the attractive village of Godolphin Cross in the beautiful Cornish countryside. The nearby Goldolphin House (NT) is steeped in Cornwall’s mining history and is one of the country’s most significant houses. The south west of Cornwall provides some of the best surfing, fishing and coastal walking in England. Gwedna Barns’ peaceful location provides easy access to the area’s beaches and coves. The sweeping sands of Gwithian are a 15-minute drive to the north, whilst Prussia Cove, with its caves, tales of smuggling and crystal clear water, lies 5 miles to the south. Penzance, The Lizard and St Ives are all within a 20-minute drive. The old market town of Helston, with its elegant Georgian town houses, is nearby, and the main A30, just a short drive away, provides access to the whole of west Cornwall. Enjoy the surf culture, attractive countryside, stunning coast scenes, history and art; all to be found in south west Cornwall. Horse riding 3½ miles, golf 4½ miles. Shop/P.O. 1½ miles, pub 3 miles.
These properties (refs TE1, TE2 and GLP) can be booked together to accommodate up to 12 guests.
