Set in beautiful, peaceful gardens with summerhouse, is this detached bungalow for two, only minutes from the coast and Fowey.

Close to the coast

These four holiday cottages, Sunrise (ref: 25051) and Sunny Skies, (ref: 25052) which stand detached, and Summer Breeze (ref: 25053) and Sunset (ref: 27684), which are semi-detached, enjoy a perfect location for exploring all corners of Cornwall from Lands End in the west to Padstow on the north coast and Fowey, Looe and Polperro on the completely different south coast. The beautiful gardens provide a peaceful haven with summerhouse and children’s play area. The cottages lie just minutes from the south coast including the fishing village of Mevagissey and the seafaring town of Fowey with its royal regatta and Du Maurier Festival (Daphne du Maurier made the town her home). Nearby are the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the amazing Eden Project. Visit Truro, the capital of Cornwall with its Gothic cathedral, surrounded by narrow streets and alleyways lined with shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. St Austell Bay, just minutes away, has a stunning coastline which has pretty coastal towns and villages dotted along its edge. Charlestown is home to a collection of tall sailing ships, an historic harbour and Georgian architecture, all of which have been used as film and TV sets over many years. Porthpean has a lovely unspoilt beach, golf club and views across the bay. Visit Pentewan with picturesque cycle and walking trail along a river and through a 450-year-old woodland. Cycle hire is available from Easter onwards and there are several golf courses nearby. Shop and restaurant 1½ miles, pub 1 mile.

Lovely converted barn, updated tastefully. The property was very clean and well equipped, with friendly and helpfull owner's. The fully enclosed, quiet and private garden, was a pleasure for us and our dog; with the bonus of a large separate dog exercise field. A tranquil setting in a great location, yet only 2 miles from St. Austell; with many beaches and attractions for all ages close by.

What a lovely little find Sunrise was, modern but with lots of character, excellently equipped, beautifully designed, comfortable and well positioned for touring Cornwall. We had a great holiday with our dog who was also well catered for, she loved playing frisbie in the private garden. Tania and Jon were perfect hosts, they’d thought of everything even a night light in the bedroom - thank you both for a great holiday and the delicious cream tea. We would definitely recommend Sunrise for a perfect Cornish holiday. Try the Polgooth Inn for excellent food and the location is lovely too.

We were greeted by the owners on arrival . A warm and friendly greeting. We were shown to our cottage and were really pleased with it at first sight. A lovely Cornish Tea awaited us set out on the table. We have holidayed in numerous Holiday lets but this one is the best in our opinion. We found it an ideal location to get to all of Cornwall no more than a hours travelling time to most places . Everything took into consideration it was a great Holiday

Fantastic home from home , a little piece of Cornish heaven. Beautifully appointed cottage with a lovely secluded garden which our dog enjoyed as well as us- listening to the birds twittering, owls hooting and bats flying around a bonus. Ideally placed to visit the south coast(10 mins) and the north coast(30 mins). Very clean and comfortable. Jon Tania (and Toby dog) made us feel completely welcome and at home and always on hand if you needed anything. The dog exercise field we used every evening. We were blessed with gorgeous weather and had a fantastic week. Would totally recommend and will be returning to visit the places we didn’t get around to seeing this time.

We had a lovely stay at Sunrise, really warm and comfortable inside despite the unexpected snow outside. A plus point was the enclosed little garden which we used during the single brief afternoon of sunshine and would have been very pleasant had the weather been better. It was also appreciated late at night by Manus our dog. Tania and Jon were very hospitable and welcoming, with a delightful cream tea on our arrival.

A lovely cottage in a quiet part of Cornwall. The location was a bit more isolated than we expected, but St Austell town is 5 minutes by car with all the amenities there. We actually appreciated the quiet location. My other half and I were pleasantly surprised by the quality of finish here, especially in the bathroom. A nice comfortable bed too. Jon and Tania are lovely, and even had a few basic provisions ready for us to make our first Cornish cream tea of many in the week. Thanks again!
