Lovely place to stay and chill. Has everything you could ask for. The WiFi is a little slow hence the 9. Pub is a good distance away but really nice. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We will come again and I will recommend Jacks barn to friends and colleagues.

Amazing holiday. Thank you! Barn is superb. Clean and well equipped. Loved little touches as fresh flowers and milk in the fridge on arrival. We felt welcomed and well looked after. Hopefully will be back soon again.

Had a lovely weekend break at Jack’s Barn. The Barn was a home from home, comfortable, cosy and a pleasure to come home to after a busy day out and about. Highly recommend.

The cottage was amazing, so clean, cosy, stylish and well equipped. It's location was brilliant to North Devon and Cornwall.

Looking for a break over new year in Devon or Cornwall to be away from it all. Found quite a few quite cheap but in the end settled on Jacks Barn even though it was a bit more it looked very good in the pictures with some good reviews. Phoned the owner, Hillary as directed on the booking and arranged the keys and checked the location all very good. We arrived, very good directions and first impressions were good. Then we had a good look around and decided it was more than that, it was fabulous, even the good pictures on the web site don't do it justice. There was a vase of fresh lilies, bottle of good Spanish wine, ginger biscuits and bottle of fresh milk in fridge all helping to make you feel welcome. One bedroom with on suite plus another bathroom all very good, lots of good quality towels. A point to note with showers is make sure the water direction lever is not pointing to the lower shower head as when you switch it on you get soaked, not a complaint just useful tip. Hilary popped around a bit later and had a chat to make sure all was good and gave us some local information. Local area very good for walking, sea coves lovely. In Bude on the canal front a cafe bistro The Olive Tree worth a visit with nice food and local beer. Local pub which is walk-able, 1 mile ish serves good food and again good local proper beer. Hartland Quay. 10 miles ish a super bay with parking to walk and see the great scenery and sea, spectacular with the high winds we had. The weather was not good with some of the worst winds of the season but that made the coastline spectacular and has nothing to do with enjoying this well equipped cottage which we could live in all the time not just visit. Superb and well recommended. Thank you Hilary.

Jacks Barn was exceptionally clean and well equipped, especially in the kitchen. Warm and cosy with fire and underfloor heating. Very friendly welcome and well stocked with leaflets and ideas for things to do. Ideal location to explore Hartland, as well as north and south Devon. Perfect for a quiet and relaxing holiday.
