This spacious, semi-detached holiday property, located in an elevated position, with breathtaking views across the beautiful long sandy beach of Praa Sands and out to Mount Bay. There is a shared footpath to the family friendly sandy beach which has lifeguards on patrol during the summer months and is also enjoyed by surfers. For walks the Cornish Coastal footpath passes the property. Nearby are St Michael’s Mount, Marazion, Praa Sands golf course, Flambards at Helston, sailing, surfing and great coastal walks. Visit the quaint fishing harbour of Newlyn and Mousehole. Heading in land, the countryside offers wide open moorland, rolling hillsides and stunning granite headlands. Ideal for those who want to escape the crowds. Other attractions include the busy town of Penzance with its long promenade and Lido, restaurants, bars and summer market at Porthleven.     house was very nice , the only small issue was that there is an open drain just inside the utility room which we had to bleach because of the smell . other than that it was good .

    A lovely location and old bones of a house, sadly let down by an owner who obviously doesn't care. Both showers are awful, often no hot water available in either (yet plenty running from the bath), often coupled with no cold water in the bath. With small children near a beach having no decent washing facilities is not acceptable. This was reported as a problem last year and hasn't been addressed. Blaming it on water pressure is rubbish. A loft based cold water and hot water tank would resolve all pressure issues. Upstairs, the loo is separate from the sink and bath for no real reason - the wall between them could be knocked through easily. The electricity often went off in the afternoon. The rear garden wasn't accessible, was totally overgrown and water drained off the garden through the kitchen. The waste water pipe from the bathroom also had open discharge into the scullery. The tumble drier didn't work all week (the land lady gave us a bottle of wine as compensation). Lastly, the seal on the fridge was all split. A great location, but the holiday was almost ruined by the lack of decent, modern, washing facilities.

    Response on behalf of the Owner; Sadly these comments were not made during the visit which is disappointing. We have spent thousands on upgrading the property over the past three years. Two qualified plumbers have stated that the showers work but the problem is that if you crank the temperature to maximum they have a safety mechanism that cuts the heating to avoid scalding - a safety feature for children. The waste does not pass through the scullery - this would not pass the cottage agents tests. The rear garden is isolated and is not part of the hire as a large decking is provided to the front of the property which has a sea view - do you really want to look at the back of a house when you have the Atlantic in front of you?
