Rosewater Lodge is clean and comfortable apart from the main bed but that may be just down to our tastes. The Lodge is overlooked by other lodges on all sides.

It was a good base for visiting North Cornwall. A car was essential because there was no local places to walk safely with our dog.

We had the most amazing time at the lodge. Its a fantastic base to stay for exploring its surrounding beaches and amenities. The neighbours on the site were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We took our little dog with us to the lodge and she was also made very welcome by the neighbours and locals of the village :). The White Hart pub which is located in the village is a lovely little place and serves lovely food. We can also recommend The Cornish Arms, which is a 5 minute drive away from the lodge and serves the most amazing cream teas!!! All the beaches we visited were fab - Daymer Bay (dog friendly) had a lovely little cafe (£3.50 for 3hrs parking and 20p for a wee), Harlyn Bay (dog friendly) gets busy but is beautiful and pristine (£5 parking and 20p a wee), Crackington Haven (no dogs in main holiday season) fab little beach for surfing and belly boarding. This beach has a lovely cafe were they do bbq’s. They also serve the best cornish pasties and yummy cream teas (as recommended by Minnie Driver). We also had a walk around Port Isaac village as my daughter is a big fan of Doc Martin. Brilliant day spent exploring the village. I would say make sure you take a walking aid or an inhaler ... you will deffo need after walking up all the hills haha. We can actually say, its been the best holiday that weve had in a long time :)

Wonderful clean, well equipped lodge. The shower was difficult to adjust the temperature, scalding one minute cold the next. Furniture on the decking , not at all inviting. We were disappointed that the lodge was on a large site, from the pictures, it looked as if it was on its own. Overall we had a great holiday, weather could have been better. Sorry won’t be going again as too far to travel.

This was our second stay at Rosewater Lodge and we absolutely love it! It's very comfortable clean and warm and has everything you need. Lovely walks with the dog in beautiful countryside and only about 5 miles from the coast. So well placed for visiting every corner of Cornwall....we will definitely stay again.
