A little piece of heaven, Polmear Barn is a magnificent, detached holiday property with stunning views. Adjacent to the owners’ home, it is lovingly converted and retains a huge amount of character whilst offering a stylish setting for family and friends to escape from it all. In winter the house is really cosy with the benefit of underfloor heating throughout and the charm of a fabulous wood-burning stove to add to the ambience. The famous 18-hole Bowood Park golf course, regarded as one of the south west’s premier parkland courses, is nearby, as is the start of the exquisite Camel Trail. The pretty fishing villages of Padstow, Port Isaac and Rock are also a must to visit and mystical Tintagel with the legendary King Arthur’s Castle is just 15 minutes’ drive. For a great day out Crealy Adventure Park, the famous Eden Project, and the wild beauty of Dartmoor and Bodmin moors are all within easy driving distance. Whether surfing, walking the coastal path, cycling, playing golf, fishing or simply relaxing, this stunning location has something for everyone. Shops and pub 1 mile.

It is hard to think of more superlatives to review this accommodation. The house was perfect for our family Christmas gathering. Most comfortable, spacious and extremely well equipped for large family meals. Complete with efficient central heating system and roaring wood burner. Situated just 5 miles from the rugged coast for Port Isaac and Tintagel. A 2 mile hilly run or easy drive to Rough Tor car park before a gentle ascent, wild walk and great view. We all loved the enormous Christmas Tree. A true delight for young and old. The owners attention to detail on this house is superb. Thank you Kaye and James for being outstanding hosts from start to finish.

Photos on website don't do the barn justice from the point of view of space - all rooms are so spacious. Lay out of rooms obviously well thought out. Lovely quiet setting with large lawn garden for children to play. Lovely patio area for evening drinks and a chill out. Cows and chickens in field close by that delighted our 3 children. Kaye and James, the hosts, live next door and are so friendly and accommodating. So much to do close by that we didn't have to travel far, a big consideration with really small children. Amenities in cottage first class and good Wi-Fi. Apart from blinds on the windows to block out light in morning can't think of anything wrong with the barn. We would certainly go back in a heartbeat!
