The area is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site with Geevor Tin Mine and Museum open to the public. Further within the area there are some magnificent engine houses, including the famous Crown Mines. You will be perfectly located for exploring Sennen’s beautiful long white sandy beach, popular with surfers, and Lands End with its visitor’s centre for one of Britain’s best loved landmarks. Further attractions include, the famous Minack Theatre that is cut into the cliff face with the ocean as its backdrop and the historical town of Marazion where St Michael’s Mount rises from the sea. Stroll around the picturesque harbour and village of Mousehole and buy fresh fish from the busy working harbour of Newlyn. Discover Penzance with its promenade, open air lido, art galleries, craft shops and eateries. We had a lovely stay at meadow cottage. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. St Just had everything we needed for our week long stay and we were within short driving distance of some fantastic beaches and coastal walks. Hope to return soon!

Although it is a lovely place in a lovely area we were really dissapointed and disheartend with the cleanliness or lack of. On initial sight of the interior of the property it was lovely. However, the cobwebs were the first thing to stand out as noticeable, understandably this is a rural property so spiders and unwelcomed guests are to be expected, but every single corner housed at least two or three spiders and the ceilings, light fittings, skirting boards and windows were literally covered with webs. Not to mension the dust - the radiators were black with thick dust - the covers just clip off and all it would take would be a quick wipe down with a damp cloth but this has not been done for months at least. The bedrooms were so dusty that our son really struggled with his asthma - a coughing fit was triggered each time we closed the curtains - they were so so dusty and the rails were thick with webs and dust. Moving the double bed upstairs to gather together our belongings was stomach turning - very thick dust, rubbish and hair which could all be resolved with a quick hoover. We are normally not ones to complain and come across as petty but we feel this cottage is really let down by something so simple so it was worth sending an email to stop unwelcomed complaints in the future. We are a working class family and are dog owners ourselves (though he wasn't brought on this particular trip) so would not expect a pristine squeaky clean cottage especially given it is a pet friendly one but it is simple housekeeper cleaning that would take no time at all that is at a miss, clearly which has been accumulated over a number of weeks or months. If the matter was addressed we wouldn't think twice about returning as it is well equiped, beautiful and in a fantastic area. Hopefully this criticism is taken as constructive so other guests enjoy their stays a little more than we did. Regards, Emma

Nice and cosy place.. all needs filled in ..upstairs ( & bathroom) is a bit "narrow".... Ideal as "base camp" to explore West-Cornwall. No "room with a view" ...but the views are nearby :-)
