The cottage is in a wonderful location and we’ve enjoyed a couple of holidays in this cottage. The only thing that lets it down is the standard of cleaning. When we stayed last year it didn’t have that ‘clean’ smell or feel about it and there were a number of dead flys in the kitchen window ledge. I didn’t comment last year because I thought it was maybe a one-off and it didn’t detract from the fact that it is a wonderful place to stay. However this year I found the standard of cleaning to be poor and yet again a number of dead flys were in the kitchen window ledge and it still didn’t have that ‘clean’ smell or feel about it. I’ve noticed a number of guests have commented on the standard of cleaning so I really hope you take on board this constructive criticism. It’s such a shame for a wonderful cottage such as this to be let down by something that could easily be rectified.

The cottage was tired requires a lot of TLC. Not very clean front door bolt broken. Outside furniture very old, table worped and broken with no cushions for chairs. carpet and cushions in cottage filthy needing good clean.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. I'm pleased to be able to say that the outside table and chairs is actually being replaced today (12th July 2018) with a brand new pub style table and bench seating. I'm disappointed that you found Tregullan Cottage not to your satisfaction. We do strive to reach the highest standards throughout the property yet there is always the room for improvement. That said, your score of 2 in a number of areas is somewhat in the extreme when compared to the feedback of all our other guests that makes me question how constructive you were trying to be. The cottage is thoroughly cleaned on each and every changeover to a very high standard as we want to give our guests the very best experience that we possibly can.

I have stayed on various cottages in boscastle harbour and this is a great location. Cottage nice. Cold at night. Really needs upstairs toilet installing as the stairs are difficult to navigate in the night ( especially after some Cornish ale !!). The advert did say logs/coal would be provided - it was not - the cottage was dusty and had quite a few cobwebs ( we cleaned these ) The cottage is in a fantastic location- bit noisy while people leaving wellie hotel. I love boscastle I would return here but please get a hair dryer- leave a few logs and matches - a black bag for dustbin and an upstairs loo. Enjoyed my stay I love ❤️ boscastle.

we were there in may every thing was fine .so we booked for second visit in October its advertised as having a open fire with fuel provided there was nothing, several pieces of crockery chipped. bedroom fine ,down stairs is looking a bit tired.you are asked to keep the cottage clean during your stay, both times we had to unblock the vacuum cleaner completely full.whoever does the changeover to not check to much.

We were very disappointed at the level of cleanliness and general upkeep of the cottage. The bathroom especially was not clean it isn't just the first impression of a room that matters but all areas whether large or small must be clean. Maybe an unannounced spot check by the owner would help just before handover on a Friday.
