Beautiful house, great communication with the owner, had everything we could possibly ask for. Beautiful surroundings, will visit again. The only down side was that this was one of the only houses on the estate that did not back onto a fishing lake and therefor I had a very disappointed 16 year as fishing was the main reason for this break away.

Had a lovely time at Chestnut Lodge. The lodge is well equipped and comfortable. Contains much of what you need. Need to bring tinfoil, condiments etc... but a lovely welcome pack when we arrived. Site has many activities to do- outdoor swimming, tennis, trampoline and football courts. Our little boy loved them and I loved the outdoor pools. Lodge is away from the hub but only a short walk if you are able. A bit too far for elderly parents. Hub does good coffee and there is a pizza shack. No snack type food more meals and expensive so not a place to eat daily if in a large party. Local supermarket about 4 miles away. Lots seems to do an online shop order to get delivered when you arrive! A lovely relaxing break.

A great place to holiday, facilities were excellent. Only downside was inability to book water sports on the site due to people booking for these sports well in advance of their arrival. We were unable to do any of the water sports on site, had to book them at another nearby site.
