This wasnt quite what we expected (expected cosy cottage) as was very close to owners home & even though they went away for most of our stay had they been there we'd have been uncomfortable. The bathroom & master bedroom could only be accessed through a twin bedroom which did cause privacy issues for our party. The TV system was complicated on arrival & even once we'd mastered it found it regularly didnt work throughout our stay & picture quality poor plus whirring of projector was irritating. The toilet didnt flush away everything every time & required using the toilet brush. That said we enjoyed watching the wild rabbits in the garden & the peace & quiet of the general location. For us it was a good base to explore the area from & visit family.

The cottage is in a lovely location and a great base for going to places like Raglan Castle, Barry Island, Raglan Farm Park, Monmouth, etc. The outside space is good for little ones and it was easy to find. The actual cottage, however, is in need of an update, the mattresses in the bedrooms need replacing as they sag in the middle, there was mould in the shower and on the ceiling in the living room, directly under where the bath was and the general cleanliness of the place was not great. We did enjoy our stay but other cottages we've stayed at for a similar price were more modernised, clean and more comfortable.
