Lovely little cottage perfectly located just off the M5 and A38. Perfect for exploring the Cotswolds. We also ventured into the Forest of Dean which was under an hour away. The owners were lovely and were easily contacted if needed but never bothered us at all through our stay. The cottage is less than a 10 minutes walk to the local pub, restaurant, shop and a couple of takeaways plus there are plenty of other amenities within a few minutes drive. I had read a review about traffic noise but it's very very slight and definitely not a problem! Our visit was in November and the cottage was lovely and warm to come back to each day. Would definitely book again

The Stable itself was beautiful, with lovely surrounding landscape. The location would have scored higher, had there been mention of the main road disturbance and poor WIFI connection. This is not as description. The local amenities were overpriced, leading to an increase in driving to town centre options. The hosts were pleasant enough, although need to consider that as occupants we are paying guests, not personal guests (reference to the rule book labelled 'information'). The homemade cake was a lovely touch. Shame we could not say goodbye, as went out on departure day. This caused a delay for us, as no instruction where to put keys.

What a marvellous find! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Stable and hope to be back soon. The accommodation is excellent, so comfortable and welcoming, the setting is heavenly and the owners are friendly and helpful. Situated in a really useful area, Bristol is so close, as is the Cotswolds, Gloucester, the Midlands, Wales- there is so much to do with the added bonus of knowing you will get a peaceful night sleep in a lovely cottage at the end of every day. As you can tell, we really did love it!!
