We stayed here for a few days in July as a last minute getway. From the moment we walked in and was greeted by the owner we felt like we were at home. The place was spotlessly clean, with everything needed. We always take our own washing up liquid, teatowels, dishwasher tablets, but we didnt need to as all this was provided. The owner had left milk, scones, bacon, eggs etc for us which was a lovely touch. There was a large field that we could let our dog run around in which he loved. There are such lovely walks to explore in the surrounding areas. We were so impressed with the place that we have booked to go back next year for one week. Thoroughly recommend this place.

A beautiful very comfortable cottage. Everything was of a high standard and Very clean. The kitchen was very well equipped - the best we have stayed in, I was able to cook a full meal and have everything I needed to hand rather than the usual challenge of what can I prepare with one saucepan and a spoon. The welcome food pack was amazing and very comprehensive , thank you so much. The bed was extremely comfortable, we slept extremely well. The only feature to highlight to others is that the cottage is only accessible via single track roads which can be a bit nerve wracking at times.

A really lovely cottage - lots of attention to detail, like extra blankets, books and DVDs, fresh flowers and a welcome hamper, plus a well stocked and informative guide. Lovely countryside location and an easy journey into Bath. Had a wonderful holiday and will definitely be returning.

Myself and wife spent 3 great weeks at the Stable and would definitely recommend to all visiting Bath and the South West. The accommodation exceeded our expectations and felt like a home from home. Morag and Phil were fantastic hosts recommending local walks, resteraunts and activities in the local area that made our stay that much easier and better. Will definitely return!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Stables. We’ve stayed in many holiday cottages and this one is one of the nicest. It was well equipped, extremely clean and had clearly been put together with love. It’s obviously not just a business. Nothing was done on a budget. When we arrived there was butter, cheese and milk and bacon in the fridge, bread in the bread bin, chocolate biscuits and fresh eggs, plus chocolates in the lounge and a beautiful vase of flowers. All most welcome and gratefully received. The Stables isn’t massive but is just the right size for a couple. It was cosy and snug on a dark winter’s night when the rain was lashing down and the wind howling. It’s convenient for Bath, with the park and ride a few miles up the road, and there are lots of places to visit within a short drive. The lane down to the house is very narrow so you have to be careful when driving to and from the main road. The owners were very welcoming and made sure our stay was comfortable. We would certainly recommend The Stables.
