The Old Workshop (ref 29173) is a detached, converted barn with high ceilings, beams and plenty of character, whilst Jumbo’s Stable (ref 29174) adjoins The Apple Store (ref 29183) by an interconnecting door so could be booked together to sleep up to 8 guests. At the heart of a mixed working farm of arable, sheep and poultry, guests will find themselves surrounded by open fields and countryside with many established public footpaths criss-crossing through and on towards the local nearby villages of Newbold and Alderminster. Newbold and Alderminster have an excellent quality local pub and restaurant, along with a farmer’s shop that sells top quality local food and produce and all are within walking distance. Guests will be able to visit Stratford-upon-Avon, 6 miles, world famous as the birthplace of William Shakespeare. This historic market town offers guests the chance to visit many of the local attractions including Shakespeare’s birthplace, Ann Hathaway’s cottage, Mary Arden’s farm and also the world-renowned Royal Shakespeare Theatre, that sits right on the banks of the picturesque River Avon. Also great for a shopping trip, there are plenty of top quality boutiques, shops, tea shops, restaurants, bistros and pubs to explore and enjoy. Only a 30-minute drive away, guests will be able to visit historic Warwick, with its ancient castle and grounds, as well as Royal Leamington Spa, Kenilworth, Droitwich Spa, Alcester and Henley-in-Arden. The drive to the Cotswolds will take no longer than thirty minutes too, and guests should definitely make time to visit one of the many Cotswold towns and villages including Chipping Campden, Shipston on Stour, Moreton-in-Marsh, Bourton-on-the-Water and Broadway, which are fantastic examples of the quintessentially English culture. A little further afield but still within an hour’s drive, guests will find the magnificent cathedral cities of Worcester and Oxford as well as Regency Cheltenham, with its racecourse, Birmingham NEC, Chipping Norton, Banbury, Evesham and Bicester.
