The owners were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The location is extremely beautiful once sat on the balcony however not the easiest of tracks to get up in a normal car, it's a dirt/loose gravel track for about 3/4 mile with numerous potholes. Supermarket is 10 minutes drive and no amenities within walking distance. The cottage itself us exactly as described, very peaceful other than the sheep, lambs and farmers dogs waking you up at all hours of the night. If you are looking to have a nice long lie in whilst on holiday this place probably isn't for you however we loved taking off in the car each day discovering towns and villages. Perfect area for walkers. The bathroom is extremely compact, powerful shower with plenty of hot water although no space to move in the shower if you are of a taller build.

The Hayloft was the most relaxing of places with the birds & sheep bleating the only noises to wake you in the morning. Wonderful walks through The Forest of Dean right from your doorstep and many attractions nearby. The owners of The Hayloft are a lovely friendly couple and told us of walks from the cottage. The place itself was wonderfully equipped with all you could need for a holiday. The only slight downside was that there is a long track of over a mile to get down to the farm itself but that meant that you were so peaceful once you had got there and the views from your own balcony/patio over the forest are to die for. If you love wildlife and peace this is the place for you.

Lovely, friendly and helpful people and a great place to relax. the Hayloft is well equipped and well cared for. Not for anyone who wants to be "entertained" but great for walking and enjoying what the local area has to offer in the way of scenery and wildlife.

Totally love The Hayloft! Was just perfect for me as a single person but would suit a couple too. Having the balcony was brilliant as it was like having an extra room. The Hayloft is lovely and remote but only a 2 minute drive from the local amenities including a supermarket and fast food outlets. The area is jam-packed with places to visit and walk/cycle routes. Dave and Sandi will help out with anything you need; perfect hosts. A lovely location and getting welcomed by such beautiful doggies every day was heart warming. I'm going back again this year.

Relaxing break at The Hayloft, however the lack of even basic provisions was disappointing. Loft was comfortable but extremely cosy - the saving grace was the patio area it fabulous views over the valley. Also no WiFi made researching places to visit & weather more tricky.
