Lovely location with walks along the canal but there is nowhere in the cottage to sit in comfort and relax in the evening. A nice comfortable bed but the stairs creak so loudly that if one of you goes down to the toilet during the night, (which being older we often do), the noise wakes the other person.

We loved The Dovecote. The cleanliness was excellent, it was small but just for two was perfect. There was an array of kitchen implements as we cooked for ourselves & the dishwasher was a welcome bonus.

We enjoyed our stay in this quirky, compact cottage. There is everything you need for a couple. The location is fantastic, with walks from the door. It’s also close to Blenheim Palace, Oxford and many other interesting places.
