In superb locations and beautiful settings. Cottages4you gives you a fantastic range of hand-picked properties with quality you can rely on.

A warm and welcoming semi-detached property in a small village, ideal for exploring the Cotswolds.

Constructed of mellow Cotswold stone, Willow Cottage is in an enviable position bordering and overlooking the village green in the small, pretty village of Paxford on the outskirts of Chipping Campden. The little-used, village green has a small under 5’s play area and large grassed area ideal for ball games.
The property enjoys the most delightful garden, particularly in spring and summer where you can admire and experience the heady scents of wisteria, climbing roses, clematis, honeysuckle and jasmine. The level garden is completely enclosed and private, offering lovely views over the surrounding rolling Cotswold Hills. Where else to enjoy a cooling glass of wine or barbecue on the large patio after a busy day out.
Just a 2-minute walk away along the lane you will find the Churchill Arms which serves up delicious gastro pub style food. This part of the world is hugely popular with visitors taking advantage of the pretty medieval villages, ancient lanes, hedgerows and field tracks that benefit this area, which is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Paxford is close to many attractions which can interest all ages, from Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, Broadway, Snowshill with its delightful lavender fields in July, the Slaughters, Bourton-on-the-Water, Cheltenham, home of the famous Gold Cup Week, to mention just a few. Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park is just a few miles away too, being very popular with the children. The closest shops can be found at Blockley (shop and post office) and Chipping Campden (offering all varieties) just 2 miles in either direction. Shops 2 miles, pub/restaurant 440 yards.

We had a lovely stay at Willow Cottage. The house was very comfortable and in a great location for exploring the Cotswold’s. There is a lovely pub in the village and plenty of other places to eat and drink nearby. The house was well equipped with added thoughtful extras such as descriptions of good local walks and a pint of milk. Highly recommend!

We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and comfort of Willow Cottage. Perfect location for good walks. Local amenities scored lower only because the cottage is in a small village with only a pub (good food served). This wasn’t a negative for us and we enjoyed the peaceful location and knew when we choose where to stay that amenities in the village would be limited. Nearby Chipping Campden has everything required plus Blockley has a good shop.

Only adverse comment would be that main double bed could be slightly wider and could do with new firmer mattress. Both bathrooms would benefit from storage space and/or shelf for toiletries. En suite shower would benefit from shelf to put soap, shampoo etc. Otherwise, very well equipped.

We stayed for a long weekend. We are a family of 5 adults but there was plenty of space for everyone and the rooms in the property were bigger than we expected. The cottage is very welcoming for example when we arrived on a cold November afternoon the property was lovely and warm and the caretaker had left us a tray laid out with tea, coffee, biscuits and milk in the fridge. We found everything to be very clean and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Lovely cottage in a very pretty place . If I had to say one negative thing the owner needs to provide new towels . The ones we had to use were long past their sell by date . But a beautiful cottage with that perfect pub grub a step away

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your review of Willow Cottage, but the Owners apologise about the towels. Upon investigation, the Owners have found out that the temporary caretaker used the wrong towels upon your arrival. These towels had been put to one side in order to be thrown out following new ones being bought a few weeks prior to your arrival. This was a mistake on behalf of the temporary caretaker and we have taken steps to make sure that this will not happen again. Thank you.

This is one of the best cottage we have stayed in. It is central for exploring the cotswolds and is very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and the area is peaceful.

Our third stay at Willow Cottage, a warm, comfortable, nicely furnished semi-detached in a small village with a dining pub, in a good location for getting around the Cotswolds. Unfortunately, on this visit there was a noticeable increase in traffic through the village during the night, which was a little disturbing given the proximity to the road.
