The prosperous market town of Romsey is 7 miles, and being the larger of the two towns, it has all of the above and more. Romsey also has an independent department store, supermarket and a magnificent Norman Abbey dating back to 907AD. Just outside the town and set in extensive parkland is the 18th century mansion of Broadlands, the former home of Lord Palmerston and the late Lord Louis Mountbatten. Fantastic holiday cottage. We had a brilliant 10 days there and would 100% recommend. Very happy and such a lovely village. Great facilities and loved the hot tub! In any weather! Plenty of things to do, glad we had our car. But very happy with every detail.

Fantastic stay here. Owners where welcoming, friendly and helpful. The cottage was great, had more then we required and all at a very high quality and standard. We enjoyed coming back after our days out to the hot tub with a glass (plastic) of bubbly. The location was great for us. Would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a quiet break away.

Really nice place. The pictures are taken from different angles. The back garden where the hot tub is, is tiny not like pictures.

A great place to stay. All the equipment, fixtures and fittings are to a very high spec. Although the owners are right next door they are not intrusive and are extremely helpful with information on arrival

A thoroughly enjoyable week. The owners have gone to great lengths to provide what is needed and at a high spec. Hot tub was great. Very nice after a day’s walking. Welcome pack of eggs, milk, wine, jams and shortbread biscuits was very well received. Will definitely be coming again.

We had a great stay. Sharon and Wayne were very welcoming. The decor was lovely and the equipment good quality. The village was delightful. The cottage is in a great location with lots of things to see and do within a short distance. We very much appreciated the pint of milk in the fridge on arrival so we could have a cuppa before heading to the supermarket and the complimentary bottle of wine was even more appreciated! We loved the hot tub and we will be telling our friends about the Old Meeting Hall. Thanks.

We had a delightful few days in Kings Somborne. The area is lovely and perfect for our needs. The accomodation is great and all the little touches really topped it off (minature conserves, red wine, robes/slippers etc.). The hot tub is great, a lovely size and well kept. Had a strange tendency to produce quite the number of bubbles but turning the jets down a little helped!

Lovely well equipped accomodation in a small village. Lovely local pub and a couple of shops that sell virtually everything that you need. Ideal for walking but not good for public transport. Ideal as a quiet getaway.

Very nice little cottage, smaller than others we have rented on this site. Very well kitted out and clean. I felt it lacked privacy a bit as you are sharing the site with the owner. Would visit again as the location is excellent.
