The cottage was very nice but the location was not for us. The unmade track up to the cottage was difficult to negotiate. The cottage is in a lovely location for fit people who can go for walks in the forest but we are both quite elderly and are recovering from illness so we had to drive everywhere. The sofa was very low and not very well sprung so as this was the only comfortable seat again not very suitable for us. the shower door over the bath would not swing which made it difficult to access the taps and in bath shower. I suggest that it might be pointed out that the cottage is not suitable for infirm or disabled people.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for taking the time to feedback, it is a shame that you felt the cottage was not for you; it is a rural location and ideal for walks and bike rides. The Agency do provide an excellent telephone customer service and very accurate descriptions of the properties, we would also be happy to answer questions before a booking if there are specific needs.

A lovely cottage with wonderful views. We had several small niggles which would not apply to everyone. Our old dog had trouble with the laminate flooring. My husband could not find a comfortable chair, as all the stools were hard and the couch was too low. It would be nice to have a chair in the bedroom. Well appointed kitchen, but no clingfilm, kitchen roll, washing powder for the washing machine, only decaffeinated coffee, all the kitchen knives were very blunt....small things I know. We have stayed in other cottages where the welcome pack was more generous. We wished that we'd had a 4x4 to navigate the track, which was very bumpy.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for taking the time to feedback and I am sorry that you had niggles, although we did our best to make sure you were happy. We take feedback on board and as the seating has been mentioned a couple of times recently, we have purchased a replacement leather sofa and footstool for arrival in October. The coffee is premium coffee Azera and the welcome breakfast pack is complimentary from us, I am sorry you didn’t feel it was adequate for you.

Were there in the heatwave but cottage was cool. Would have appreciated 2comfy garden chairs and a blind at the bathroom window as it looks onto their garden. Otherwise a lovely place. Pot holed private lane a bit damaging for ordinary cars.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback, the enclosed garden is a new edition and we will consider other garden furniture for the next season. The track is not for everyone, it has recently had surfacing work, which can only be gravel for environmental reasons. The location is unique if you like direct access to the forest and appreciate wildlife and nature and we like to think the track up is worth the view.

    not very wheelchair friendly

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback and although the property is single storey, there is a shower over a bath and a step into the front door. It is not described as wheelchair friendly and I would agree that it isn’t. The Agency provide an excellent customer support and we would be happy to answer any questions about the property ahead of a booking to ensure it is right for your needs.

Very peaceful and that is what was wanted. Just a pity that the unadopted road does not really lend itself to ordinary cars.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for taking the time to feedback and we’re glad you enjoyed your stay. The unmade track is effected by the weather and isn’t for everyone, but we hope that our peaceful location with access directly on to the forest more than makes up for it. We like to think it adds to the charm.

Weavers Lodge is a bright, comfortable cottage with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The access lane is challenging but it is part of the New Forest and there is little that can be done about it. That didn't detract from our enjoyment of our stay in this cosy, modern cottage.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay at Weavers Lodge and thank you for taking the time to feedback, its much appreciated.
