Outside space, bedroom and bathroom are excellent but lounge furniture is dated in comparison. Also kitchen area and items within could have been cleaner, in our opinion rest of facilities more than make up for this. The bed is huge and very comfortable.

If your looking for a hideaway that offers peace, calm and tranquillity then you`ve come to the right place . Myself and my wife lead hectic lives with work , grown up boys and other everyday stresses like most people and we found it to be a little slice of heaven . The hot tub was relaxing , the Jacuzzi bath the same and the views from the cottage were exactly what we were hoping for . You would not be disappointed if you pay Paglinch Cottage a visit , adjacent to the property is a cycle path which is used frequently by both cyclists and walkers alike . The village of Shoscombe offers a pub but not much more in the amenities line but , their are some excellent walks around the area . The landlord and landlady of the Apple Tree Inn are great hosts ( Mark and Mandy) . It was obvious to most, because of our accents that we did not live in the local area but , we were made really welcome by all . It`s a great base from which to do the tourist trail , we went to Glastonbury , Cheddar Gorge , City of Wells , Bristol , Bath , Bradford on Avon and Stonehenge at Amesbury , all within easy reach

Lovely cottage, really nice and welcoming host, easy access to bath and the surrounding areas with park to ride options readily available within a few miles drive. Hot tub was great, and was a cozy cottage for those evenings in. The only bad point we had was that we had to clean the oven and microwave before we cooked in it as it was a bit dirty. Overall however it was a really pleasant stay and would happily stay here again.

Very quiet, rural and good location for visiting Bath, Wells and Frome. Good value for money. Hot tub, a bonus.

We booked this cottage because it offered fishing, but on ringing the owner was informed that this was not available now. Lounge/kitchen had cobwebs throughout. Furniture dated. Oven and microwave were dirty. Pans were all dirty and had been poorly washed. Bed disgusting, the mattress was a zip linked. One side the edge had collapsed and you felt you were falling out of it and had springs sticking up the other half of the mattress was. Very badly stained. The toilet although having coloured fluid in it needed cleaning before being used. Area around the bath needed regrouting. The outside area was shabby and did not match the pictures provided.

Property overall was in a nice location and the hot tub was great, however the property whilst clean was still dirty in places and the kitchen pots and pans had to be cleaned before use. There was also a number of cats just wondering around and begging for food. I would return.

I have thought long and hard about this review as I wanted to be fair. On arrival the property looked ok and we were met with the owner who was welcoming and showed us into the cottage. She explained about the hot tub etc. and where was nice to visit which was lovely. After she left we settled into the cottage but when I went to the bathroom I did find that it had not been cleaned and there was a lot of hair on the floor and by the towel rail. The toilet had also not been cleaned and had urine etc. round the seat. I was able to clean this as products were left under the sink but as you can imagine I was rather put off having to start cleaning on the first hour of my holiday. Whilst I was cleaning the toilet my husband found that the oven had also not been cleaned and had old food and congealed fat on the grill obviously from the previous guests. As you can appreciate I was rather upset but we did not mention this to the owner as I just wanted to enjoy the holiday, besides what would she have done, got on her hands and knees in front of me to clean it!! A couple of days into the holiday the owner mentioned to my husband that the remote control eye for the T.V. in the bedroom would need to be changed at some point but said nothing else as we were going out for the day. However when we returned to the cottage we found that the owner had let in someone to change it without us being there. I did feel this was unnecessary and potentially could have had legal ramifications as our personal possessions were in the cottage. Another cause for concern were the approx 9 ferral cats which roamed everywhere and this also meant them using anywhere as a toilet. We did have to dodge a few presents left for us around where the car was parked. Unfortunately this happened on the path down to the hot tub which I did not see in the dark and managed to step in which was particularly disgusting. So note for anyone visiting the hot tub WEAR FLIP FLOPS!!! not least the gravel on the path cuts your feet to pieces. I feel this cottage maybe too much for the owner to handle and would recommend a professional cleaner and a call to the RSPCA to manage the cat situation. I appreciate that this may seem quite negative but feel these points need to be raised as I have not experienced this before in any of the cottages we have stayed in the 10+ years we have holidayed in these cottages

Perfect place to get away from it all. Hot Tub was great. Wifi was a bit hit and miss towards the end but that was mainly due to remote location. Would def come again :)
