Cottage still in a timewarp ,decor not changed the eight years we’ve used it,bath water just covers you kneecaps and the kitchen utensils are like someone’s been around the charity shops in Minehead but that’s a small price for a log fire and it’s position.

The cottage could be delightful, but unfortunately really could do with some money investing in it. Stair carpet looks dirty and needs replacing, kitchen chair cushions were filthy, and cutlery/various dishes were not clean. Water pressure very slow and while bath ok, shower was next to useless. Front bedroom carpet very dated and dog eared and beds not the most comfortable. Kitchen oven antiquated and very slow to work. Kitchen fire does not draw despite us trying all options with the vents. Landing lamp not working. Finally we reversed down middle track on arrival to unload car and the neighbours at the larger white house were very confrontational. We had not been told to not use this access to unload and no signs to say you couldn't. A shame as the location is beautiful and I hope this can be fed back to the owners who were also lovely and very welcoming.

We booked this cottage as we had dogs, but they weren't allowed in the garden or to be left in the property so this spoilt the holiday, it is badly advertised and the big enclosed garden is the front garden, the back is cobbled yard. The location is fantastic and good dog walks. The cottage is very dated, basic cooking equipment so we ate out and dirty, cobwebs, infestation of ladybirds and the bathroom had mould.

Great base for exploring local area, Tarr Steps, lynton/Linmouth and Vally of Rocks are outstanding places to see + the moorlands for additional walkers paradise. Blue Ankor beach nr Minehead was best for sunbathing.
