Wonderful views, superb location, comfortable cottage. What more could you ask for? The lanes around the cottage were a challenge at first - but you soon got used to them. Exmoor never fails to deliver so finding Well Cottage means that we need look no further for holiday accommodation.

Well Cottage enjoys stunning views of the Somerset countryside, surrounded on all sides by trees and beautiful scenery. But in order to get there you have to very carefully negotiate miles of single track road with few passing places and copious blind bends. The locals, well used to the road, zip along it quite fast and the journeys in and out of the cottage are therefore not for the faint hearted! You cannot walk safely along the lane either as there is nowhere to move to when a vehicle races round the corner....having said that the road is not at all busy. The house itself is very pretty and has a fairly large garden to the front. The steps down from the car parking area took some getting used to as they were fairly steep! There is no access to the back of the house and we were surprised to see that an empty caravan was being stored there! The neighbours are very close, much closer than is shown in the photos, although you do not really notice they are there most of the time. There was no razor point in any of the bathrooms which meant our electric toothbrushes ran out of charge after a few days! Among its many pluses the cottage was very clean and the kitchen extremely well stocked. It was well laid out with a huge master suite and there were very thoughtful touches, including fresh flowers in the lounge and dining room, and milk, tea, coffee and biscuits provided. Also provided are dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, washing powder, cleaning essentials and a generous supply of loo rolls! There's very little in Luxborough but Dunster and Minehead are close by and Tesco deliver to the cottage which was definitely a bonus! There are some beautiful walks nearby and car parking spaces provided.

Our stay at Well Cottage was very enjoyable, everything was clean and presentable. In fact this was our second visit to this lovely cottage and we loved it as much as we did the first time. Everything we needed for our stay was available in the house eg maps, binoculars and simple things like washing up liquid and tea/coffee etc etc. This idyllic cottage is located between numerous beaches such as Blue Anchor (a lovely place for all the family) and Dunster Beach with is lovely and sandy. Overall we would rate this cottage a 10/10 and we hope to visit again soon!

Lovely cottage, directions with a map would have been a lot better, well appointed and beautiful location. Very rural. could do with bbq tools and a few plastic cups plates and cutlery for younger kids.

Great cottage, lovely rooms and huge ensuite. A real home from home and the WiFi was really worthwhile. Mobile signal a small issue but we were on holiday so who cares..(you can get a signal but not in the cottage) very rural. Short drive to Minehead. Lots of dog walks close by too. The pictures don't do it justice. Had a fab time

The cottage was clean, spacious and very well equipped. Whilst in a gorgeous area the country lane approach was sometimes disconcerting! The local Pub which was fabulous, was a little further than the 1 mile quoted (1.9mile to be precise). We had a great time at Well Cottage, however for those with sensitive nostrils, there was quite a strong smell of wood-smoke in the lounge from the wood burner. That said, we would all go back for a further visit.
