For the children, there is BeWILDerwood Adventure Park at Horning with tree houses, zip wires, jungle bridges and boat trips, which all combines to make a great day out. Wroxham, which is known as the ‘Capital of the Broads’, is just over 3 miles away where you can hire a day boat and explore the Broads and see the wildlife. The sandy beaches of the North Norfolk Coast are only 10 miles away, and in the winter months, a visit to Horsey Gap beach is a must where you will find hundreds of grey seal pups on the beach. There is a wealth of National Trust properties to visit in the area which include Felbrigg Hall, Garden and Park, Blickling Hall and Sheringham Park. Alternatively, spend a day in the fine city of Norwich with the magnificent cathedrals, castle, museums, theatres, market and vast array of cafés and shops. Mill View is a lovely bungalow. The cleanest we have ever stayed at. Its beautifully decorated and has all you need. Lovely welcome from Julie and she has thought of everything. The only reason I have not given it 10/10 is that I booked it for three main reasons - bungalow as I can't manage stairs, oil central heating as we stayed in Feb (this turned out to be essential as we stayed during the 'Beast from the East' very heavy snow and record cold temps!!!) and the shower, as I can't manage a bath. I have to downgrade the review as the shower, despite being a cubicle and looking lovely, had very poor shower pressure - the worst I have experienced. So disappointed as a hot shower would have been welcome. Even at the mains cold pressure the power was terrible. I don't know why that is as usually you have mains pressure on the cold at least when the shower is turned up to max flow. If you don't need a shower or prefer a bath then this is a 10/10 bungalow. Everything else lovely. Quality, super comfy beds not too soft, not too hard, just right. Beautifully maintained garden, super clean everywhere. Shame the wood burner has been removed as this would really give this place the wow factor. Neighbours John and Carol deserve a mention as they are great. We never heard or saw them (as the bungalow is private and detached) until the last day when we were snowed in due to drifts of 3ft blocking the road. They had already dug out one person from the lane and then came to help my husband dig the lane outside the bungalow so we could drive down it. Impressive especially as John is almost 80 yrs of age. I hope he won't mind me putting this here! Sums up the area and the people.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are sorry to learn this visitor felt her stay was marred by the shower pressure, and wish she had contacted us during her stay. The information guide we provide at the property explains the environment and facilities at the property. The shower is clearly mentioned stating the pressure of the shower may not be what you are used to. The water is hot and controlled by the thermostatic valve on the shower. All equipment is checked before hand over and we advise if there are any issues. The Beast from the East caused major disruption in our area during this visitors stay, and we are grateful to our neighbours for assisting. Snow drifts blocked roads and by the time we had walked to the property, our visitors had left. We personally ask all our visitors to contact us of any problems they experience, and this is written in the information pack with our contact details. We always respond as quickly as possible to rectify any issues. The enjoyment of our visitors stay is important to us.

Location is quite isolated so you need to travel but the bungalow is very spacious, clean and well-equipped. We had a lovely stay even in winter.

We had a lovely holiday staying in this wonderful cottage. What a find! We received a great welcome when we arrived. The cottage was spacious and spotlessly clean throughout. It was so well equipped we felt very much at home. We will definitely return. There is so much to do in the area. The children loved playing in the safe garden. Great Yarmouth is only about 10 miles away and has a good clean beach as well as plenty of restaurants and family activities. ( Would recommend Hinchinbrook restaurant for a good family meal)

Lovely bungalow in a very quiet location in the countryside. Nice littles touches from the owner upon arrival - tea, milk, flowers and Easter eggs! Good sized bungalow (bigger than it looked in the photos) and a lovely well kept garden.
