What a fantastic find. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at heron's view. We needed a relaxing getaway from the rushes of life and we certainly got it. Vals cottage is beautiful, spotless and loved. There was milk in the fridge and tea and coffee in the cupboard so we could have a drink after our long journey. That was a lovely thought as were the fresh flowers. We arrived mid heatwave. We had fans in the rooms which were an absolute godsend during hot nights. The cupboards were full of anything you might need, games, jigsaws, books, dvds, sewing kits, first aid kits. The view was amazing. The occasional chug of a boat passing by, the wildlife and the heron was wonderful. What was noticable was the lack of road traffic noise. (Perfect)The fishing from the mooring was fantastic. Paul went fishing every day, even got up at 6am one morning. The girls and i also had a go at fishing, i caught my first ever fish, a pike. The garden is beautiful and well looked after. Sunloungers, fishing chairs and garden furniture were provided, which we used every day.Val does a fantastic job of looking after the cottage and made us feel very welcome. For us, our week at Heron's view was 'our little piece of heaven'

What a lovely way to spend a relaxing holiday. The cottage has all the comforts of home, is very clean and fresh and has a perfect view of the river. Fishing was very good, bream, perch, roach and some others I think. The local curry house delivers at the weekend and is a very tasty meal. The garden gets the sun most of the day (not sure about early morning) and the birds and ducks are frequent visitors to the bird feeder. Good sized fridge and freezer, good tv reception, bbq, sun loungers hair dryer, washer and iron if you need.

Heron's View was immaculate and very comfortable to stay in. Val went the extra mile by adding fresh flowers, fresh milk in the fridge and tea, coffee and sugar in the cupboard as well as sweets on the coffee table, which was much appreciated. (Thank you Val!) Even tho' the weather was bad whilst we were there, Val had provided games, puzzles (including children's puzzles and games) as well as a collection of DVD's for us to watch if we wanted to as well as a pair of binoculars and a bird spotting book.

Lovely view, beautifully clean, fully equipped, cosy and comfortable, and a warm welcome from the owner. On top of all that there are the friendly resident ducks who ask to be fed at frequent intervals and all the other wild birds to be seen in the garden and on the river. Park the car and explore the area by boat (Buccaneer Boats are a 5 minute walk) or take the train, the railway station is just a 10 minute walk. There are frequent services to Norwich, Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth,a Wherry Rover gives unlimited travel all day. Parking space is sufficient for two medium size cars, a bit of a squeeze for two large ones. Heron's View looks really nice in the pictures, but when you see it for real it's even better!

We have stayed in several cottages on the Riverside Estate. Hero's View is way above the standard of any of them. The furniture and beds were confortable of good quality, which makes such a difference away from home. Would definitely recommend this lovely chalet.
