Just returned from our second visit to this property and we will book again for some time in the future. Our last visit was in the rain and this visit was in a heat wave, but we really enjoyed both scenarios because sitting in the lounge and just looking out over the river was just delightful. I did some fishing and had lots of small fish, so will try again. On our last visit the pub at the end of the lane was open but we did not go there. This time we planned to go there but it was closed for refurbishment, so will try again on our next visit. Shops and a pub in Blundal a 20 min walk away, and lots of interesting walks locally. Try the chain ferry at Reedham for an experience and try petanque at the Shoulder of Mutton pub a couple of miles down the road. The property could not be better equipped and beds very comfortable. Parking tight for 2 cars but manageable.

Beautiful cottage. All the equipment you could think of - and more - so much so that there was no cupboard storage for any of ours. Most of which, had we known, we would not have brought with us. We had fantastic weather all week and 9 young ducklings roosting at the bottom of the garden for most of the week. We did not take advantage of the kayak or rowing boat but had we been younger and a bit more mobile we would have done. We hired a day boat from Wroxham instead! Lots of wildlife and birds to see - not sure what they all were but we saw the heron opposite most mornings. One slight criticism - not too sure when the cobwebs were last cleared from the garden! All in all it was all that we could wish for. A fantastic holiday.
