The Studio is situated in Hoe, an unspoilt Norfolk village. It is detached and secluded, near the owners’ home, and was originally an artist’s studio. The living room is flooded with light from the floor-to-ceiling window at the front and has an unspoilt rural view. Electricity for The Studio is all from renewable sources and the installed solar PV array helps to make your stay a green break.
The area has many paths for walkers and routes for cyclists nearby, and there are numerous places of interest for bird watchers and nature lovers in the area too, including Hoe Common and the Rough, a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Nearby are the Mid Norfolk Railway in Dereham, 2 miles, and Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse, 1½ miles. The Studio is also ideally placed for city touring, with medieval Norwich, 15 miles, and the old Hanseatic Quarter of King’s Lynn, 25 miles. The north Norfolk coast is 30 minutes away, where you will find Wells-next-the-Sea with its harbour, arts centre, beautiful beach, and pine forest. Holkham for vistas, Stiffkey for salt marsh, and Titchwell and Cley for birds are among the many coastal villages worth visiting. The Norfolk Broads are 40 minutes away and the National Trust houses at Blicking, Oxburgh and Felbrigg are all a 45-minute journey. There are five supermarkets in Dereham, 2 miles, good small shops, and pubs within 5 miles from The Studio. Beach 21 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1¼ miles.
