An inspiring collection of properties chosen for their character, luxury and heritage, all graded 4 star and above.

A large luxurious property for a special get-together. Take a day trip out in the 12-seater boat to explore the stunning surrounding area.

Maple Tree Lodge is a spacious and luxurious, detached property, which provides excellent holiday accommodation at any time of year and it has been extensively renovated. It is decorated with a Christmas theme during the festive season. Wonderful water frontage views can be enjoyed as guests relax and watch the wildlife and boating activity and there is a lawned garden leading to private mooring. A 12-seater electric day boat and kayaks can be obtained free of charge directly from the owner, subject to availability. The waterside garden provides the perfect location for relaxing, and fishing is literally on the doorstep (seasonal, licence required). This is an ideal location to explore the popular villages and broads, Potter Heigham, Coltishall, Salhouse and Ranworth, which are all easily accessible with the electric boat. Horning village, a picturesque village with riverside inns, restaurants, a selection of small shops and tea shops, is well worth a visit. The property is situated just minutes from the heart of Wroxham, known as the ’Capital of the Broads’, with its waterside restaurants, pubs, cafés and shops. Sailing, walking, nature trails, bicycle hire and golf are all available locally. The coast is just 12 miles away, and visitors can enjoy the delights of the sandy beaches and the coastal villages. A must is to visit the grey seal colony at Horsey Gap Beach and between December and February there are hundreds of seal pups on the beach. For the children, visit BeWILDerwood, an outdoor adventure park at Horning, Wroxham Barns or Wroxham Miniature World, the largest indoor modelling attraction in the UK. Nearby, National Trust properties include Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall and Horsey Wind Pump. Alternatively, spend the day in the fine city of Norwich, with its cathedral, museums and array of shops and cafés, just 8 miles away. Beach 12 miles. Shop and restaurant 750 yards, pub 1 mile. Can be booked with ref: CCCU (which is next door but one) to accommodate larger parties, sleeping up to 18 guests.

Spacious, open-plan living/dining room with gas woodburner, bi-folding doors and kitchen area with range (for cooking). Games room. Twin bedroom with TV and en-suite wet room with toilet. Maple Tree Lodge provided an ideal set up for a holiday with people of mixed ages. The electric boat was used daily and was quiet and clean. The kayaks were brilliant, having a double kayak meant that even the youngest / less confident members of the group were able to join in. There was a good range of wet suits and life jackets available. The equipment provided in the kitchen / dining areas allowed plenty of opportunities for entertaining. The shower chair in the ground floor wet room demonstrated the care / attention that had gone into setting the house up. Despite the weather being very wet we had an amazing time. The gas fire was stunning and provided a cosy feel to the room. To improve it further we would have liked plastic glasses / a picnic set to fully enjoy our boat trips in a safe way. Great communication / handover regarding all aspects of the trip from initial booking requests to key collection and boat handover. We would be delighted to return again despite this being on a quieter part of the Broads.

Amazing, couldn't fault a thing. We loved the boat and even used it just to get to the pub for roast dinner. Loved the games room especially the pinball machine, the welcome basket was amazing. We are already discussing when to book for next year. Bob was amazing when we arrived.

Maple Tree Lodge left me speechless when I walked in what a wonderful place to stay, I could not fault it, I really can not think of anything negative to say, I have stayed in quite a few Cottages in Norfolk but this one was outstanding. We made use of the boat everyday but alway looked forward to going back to the lovely warm lodge, the family made use of the kayaks which were thoroughly enjoyed. Would love to stay again but you are so booked up THANK YOU SO MUCH

This cottage was beautiful and everything we could have wished for, for my 40th birthday celebrations. It was a great house for a family get together and had everything we needed. Having en-suites in each room was brilliant and the boat was a real added bonus. We would definitely return.

Had a fantastic time in maple tree lodge .....gorgeous lodge, lots of space...ideal for younger children and a dog, big grass area and loved going out on the day boat. Canoes for the children which they loved and went on every day ....beautiful views....Other family members were in bay tree lodge next door but one ...kids loved going in the canoes from one lodge to the other ....we booked both lodges again for next year the day we got back :) thank you for such a wonderful holiday, can't wait to return next year

As usual a fantastic stay just a couple of little niggles the BBQ was in bit of a mess it took me a couple of hours to clean it before we could use it. Also the vacum is not the best so cleaning the rugs is near impossible, access to cleaning equipment inc battery vacum would be good. But that said a wonderful stay in a beautiful place.
