Trentham Cottage is a Grade ll listed, light and airy holiday property. One of a pair, it sits within the peaceful seaside village of Snettisham, close to some of the most beautiful coastline that Norfolk has to offer. Snettisham has a huge amount of individual character and offers the opportunity to undertake a unique deer safari. It also has a lovely natural and unspoilt beach offering open sea views and glorious sunsets. Just a few miles along the coast, Hunstanton provides all the fun of the fair, a Sealife Centre, Norfolk Lavender, traditional amusements, and a beautiful sandy beach from which you can take a boat tour out to see the seals. Travel a little further and discover pretty villages that wind along the coastline and yield picturesque salt marshes and glorious beaches, along with numerous places to enjoy a meal or to potter around boutique shops. Wells-next-the-Sea, with its picturesque quay, narrow gauge railway and mix of traditional and artisan shops, is well worth a visit. Birdwatchers will be spoilt for choice with Snettisham, Titchwell and Holkham within easy reach, and Blakeney, Cley and Welney just a little further afield. The Hanseatic town of Kings Lynn is also worth visiting and there are guided walking tours available around the old quarter. The coastline offers bracing and picturesque walks and the area also offers some good cycling routes and is home to lots of National Trust properties and Stately Homes, including The Sandringham Estate and Holkham Hall. When it comes to deciding what to visit next, relaxing Trentham Cottage provides the perfect environment to unwind and plan your next adventure, perhaps while enjoying dinner al fresco in the private, patio garden. Beach 1 mile. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant 150 yards.

Brilliant cottage. Parking at busy time difficult due to primary school and builders merchants being very near by. Great facilities in and around cottage.

Great cottage, wouldn't hesitate to go back. Everything you could possibly want is provided so no need to take the usual stuff that you might for a self-catering place (there’s even a welcoming bottle of wine!). The place is spotless, kitchen well equipped, the beds and sofas are comfortable, the broadband is fine and there’s a good range of TV available. We made good use of the Bluetooth speaker to play music off our phones too. Very small thing to be aware of is that if you have a large car, the parking bay is awkward and you might find it easier (and slightly closer) to park in the road. If we could change one thing about the place it’d be to ask the owners to leave some surfaces clear for guest’s things. No room needs 3 boxes of tissues ?, it’s over generous! We’d also query whether the 2 sofas could comfortably accommodate 6 adults.

A great stay, we enjoyed 3 nights and wished we would have had longer. The cottage was very clean, spacious, very well equipped and within a short walking distance of the village centre to visit a great local pub and food store. The cottage is well positioned for exploration of the north Norfolk coast, Sandringham and Kings Lynn. We would definitely book again if visiting the area.

An outstanding cottage. I will certainly stay there again when I am next in that area of Norfolk. To date it is the best cottage I have stayed in!

We stayed from 23-27 December and had a lovely, cosy stay. Clean, warm, comfortable and lots of Christmas lights and decorations were kindly provided. The only snag we encountered was that we couldn't get the lower oven to work. This was a bit of a daunting discovery on Christmas Day! However, we grasped the challenge and managed to cook our Christmas dinner on one shelf in the small oven! Local pub, Rose and Crown, provided very good fare on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day. We would not hesitate to recommend the cottage and would happily return.

I would have given it all 10s but the WiFi didn’t work, and the lock on the door to the patio was very difficult to open sometimes - I think about to fail. These are things the owner knows about. A new router was delivered while we were there and we were hoping the owner would contact us as we would have been very happy to open it and install it.
