Cosy, clean cottage. We did lots of walking along the coastal paths in both directions. Alpaca trek around the town was lovely too. The Golden Fleece, the local chip shop in Wells and the Victoria at holkham were great.

Excellent location, clean reasonably equipped, we would have preferred a double bed and the sofa is too small. Lacked WiFi.

Lovely little cottage. Perfect for two plus one dog. Parking was fine, we parked our jeep on the space outside the cottage, off the road. No issues parking. Excellent location for walks to Holkham Beach and the shops and cafes. Nice and warm, with a real wood fire. Quiet location, but near all amenities too. Very clean. Twin beds comfy and the shower was excellent. The TV worked fine and nice to have a radio too. Our dog was quite happy sleeping downstairs on her own dog bed, which we brought with us. Plenty of crockery. Would be nice to have a cafeteria, but we had coffees out at cafes in town. Felt safe and secure. Would definitely recommend this pretty cottage. We enjoyed our romantic mini break.

Property was smaller than expected and parking the car wasn't that easy. The bathroom (shower room really) was rather small to access with the toilet being so near the door. The television reception was intermittent (just when you wanted to hear and see something you were interested in the picture started breaking up) and the screen was rather small. The dogs were happy and the walks from the cottage were great.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful little cottage. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our break. The only problem was the parking which is always much sort after in Wells. We tried to park in the allocated space but the bottom of our car badly grounded on the incline to this space and we couldn't park there. Apparently, according to the guest book most guests have had the same problem. We parked on the main road as it was out of season but parking would be a real problem at peak times. Perhaps it should only be advertised with a parking space - if you have a 4x4.

Having holidayed in Wells for over 30 years we were looking forward to our return. The cottage was perfectly situated by the quay, town and perfect for walks along the beach, woods or coastal path. The cottage had all that we needed for a great stay but parking was sometimes an issue as was the traffic and pedestrians that venture past daily.

A character cottage in an ideal location close to shops, restaurants, quay and coastal path. Parking is awkward due to a cobbled ramp and cars with a low base may “bottom”. We were lucky. Comfy beds, very small shower room with badly positioned soap holder (on which it’s easy to bang your head) and combined kitchen and living area. The kitchen has too much crockery etc for two people leading to the cupboards being full and items such as the cutlery tray left on a work surface so there is very little space to prepare a meal. Not ideal for a self-catering property! Also although there is a washing machine there is no dryer and no outside space to dry clothes including beach towels etc apart from two small towel rails hanging over radiators.

The parking was not as advertised we could not park in front of cottage due to a ramp scraping the bottom of the car. To the side of cottage was always full so when we got a parking space car was not moved until we went home. Which spoilt our holiday because we are old and so is our dog! So we hoped to use the car inbetween our walking.

This cottage is very centrally located, well equipped and perfect for older couples. The only downside is the on site parking arrangements. If you have a car with a ground clearance of more than 18 inches, you will be able to park on site, otherwise you are at the mercy of public parking.

Cottage is cosy, bathroom a little tight, space for car is impossible if you have a low car and the parking nearby is first come first served. But overall great holiday and you can leave the car as there is plenty of walks to be had.

This cottage is well positioned and warm and cosy.Amenities in the cottage are good(apart from the lack of a hairdryer). However, there was evidence of dust on some surfaces and a smell of a dog-presumedly from the previous weeks occupation. A better cleaning regime would mean a higher overall rating from us.
