We had a great week in thus house, the layout of the house was perfect for a large family. A large social area with great views, but also four double bedrooms with good sized bathrooms. We had read in previous reviews that the house was tired, it is very tired I would imagine anyone hoping for some luxury would be disappointed.

Caracol needs some TLC, it is a little tired and there are little bits that need replacing or repairing, this did not detract from the gorgeous setting, which is very relaxing. We all enjoyed it immensely. We were a group of friends that hire cottages every year and what surprised us was that there was no welcome pack, this is the first time in 10 years. They did leave coffee pods for the machine as the local supermarket does not stock them. The tranquility, view of the river and wildlife was fantastic.
