Cromer

Cromer is located on the beautiful north Norfolk coast, has an expansive beach, traditional pier and a rich fishing tradition.

Cromer is suitable for both young and old. Its spacious beaches, including two Blue Flag beaches, make it a popular spot for families; even Jane Austen’s Emma favoured it for sea bathing and a short walk on the pretty pier will reward you with views both out to sea and across the town.

A great way to explore the region is by foot, the town is connected to two popular walking routes; the 45-mile Norfolk Coast Path from the town west to Hunstanton and the 56-mile Weaver’s Way south to Great Yarmouth. For those who prefer to cycle, take the picturesque Norfolk Coast Cycleway. For less energetic activity, there’s the Pavilion Theatre on the pier and of course lots of independent shops and cafés for a little casual browsing.

Why not explore the South American themed Amazona Zoo, with its big cats, parrots and many more rainforest animals, including an indoor tropical area. Once a mixed fishing town, Cromer is now best known for its crabs and lobster, both of which can be enjoyed at many of the town’s eating and drinking places.

Whether you’re into beaches or biking, seafood or sightseeing, why not start searching for Cromer holiday cottages.
