We had a wonderful week staying in a lovely well equipped and comfortable cottage which had everything we needed and well placed for the coast and plenty of nearby attractions.

Good accommodation and well equipped. A rural location, very quiet with good views. Very close to the coast and Cromer. Good pub and restaurant in village. I would certainly recommend this property and hope to make a return visit soon

Fabulous cottage, cannot rate it highly enough. We are two femle friends who needed a break away so the fact that there was an en-suite with each bedroom was such a bonus. Admittedly they are fairly small but what more do you need than a loo, basin and shower? Immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and very cosy, the cottage is situated in the middle of nowhere but only a few miles from Cromer and other seaside villages it was very peaceful. The cream tea waiting for us was a lovely touch and delicious. We ate at two of the recommended pubs and we're delighted with each and fish and chips at Cromer was great. All in all a very restful week, the owners were on hand if we needed anything (which we didn't as everything had been though of) but we're not at all intrusive. Very friendly hosts. Would definitely go again and would highly recommend.

Had a great holiday at Restwell. Could do with some new sheets and crockery but other than that can’t fault it. Perfect hosts that went the extra mile with scones, cream and jam left on arrival. Came and introduced themselves and said they were there if we needed anything. Really nice x

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are very pleased to hear that you had a great holiday at Restwell. We are puzzled though, the bedding this season is all new as detailed in the most recent review from Deborah below. Thank you for your constructive feedback with reference to the crockery, it has been replaced today.

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at Restwell. The cottage was lovely and had everything we could need and more! It was comfortable, beautifully clean and well located. The attention to detail was great. The beds were so comfortable and the bedding was a lovely quality. The owners were on hand to answer any query, no matter how minor but were very discreet and we felt very private. We really appreciated the help in organising a surprise BBQ for my mum who was on holiday with us. The views from the cottage are stunning and I shall miss my early morning cup of tea admiring the scenery and soaking up the peace. We were sorry to leave but left feeling relaxed and happy and certain we will return. Thanks Bernadette and Darren for letting us stay at your beautiful cottage.

Restwell cottage is situated in a rural setting with great views and only a short drive to the coast. The cottage is bright, clean and comfortable and very well equipped, run by helpful and friendly owners who welcomed us with a cream tea that was waiting on the kitchen table for us when we arrived. We liked Norfolk and visited Cromer, Holt, Blakeney, Burnham Market, Wells and Holkham. We would certainly stay at Restwell Cottage again and would recommend it.

Response on behalf of the owner; It was a pleasure to welcome you and your son and your cute dog. Thank you very much for a fantastic review.

A nice cottage in a rural region. En suite shower rooms very small, compact. Well equiped, everything you need, home from home. Nice owner.

Response on behalf of the owner; We would like to thank you very much for your positive review but are slightly puzzled by a 6 as the score doesn’t reflect the comment.

We loved our week at Restwell. The owners live very close by but are very 'hands off' unless required. The cottage is very well equipped and we were made to feel very welcome with a cream tea on arrival. The view from the lounge was amazing - highly recommended if you love wifelife - Bernie and Darren have thought of everything. Loads of games, books, guides available and a set of binoculars which were handy when we spotted a deer coming our way :-)

Response on behalf of the owner; We are so pleased to read your positive review and we thank you. It was a pleasure to meet your family.

The cottage was in a beautiful area, some way from the village. The bathrooms especially in the double room were very small.I had to stand in the shower to wash my hands. The cottage was very comfortable and well fitted. The garden was very pretty.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your positive comments. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. The bathroom (en-suite) is a compact wet room consisting of the WC, shower and wash basin and as such the basin is within the shower area. Our cottage is a 3 minute drive to the village but does take longer on foot.

The cottage was lovely, our party consisted of two adults, two children and a dog, it was more than big enough for our family, as others have mentioned, the double bedroom is quite small but plenty large enough for us. The cottage is well equipped and includes washing machine, dishwasher etc. We had a bit of a problem with the shower not draining properly and the toilet leaking but these were dealt with during our stay by the owners. We did find that there wasn't enough hot water for everybody to have a shower in the mornings but we just planned around it and it was fine. Locally there is a shop and dog friendly pub in the village which is walkable. There are walks locally and a short drive take you to plenty of other walks, national trust properties etc. The property is located in a very rural area and the views across the fields are lovely and very peaceful. There is a separate £20 a week charge for the central heating which we found a bit strange - quite why the charge isn't included in the property price is a bit of a mystery, but that said the cottage was nice and warm. We found the owners very friendly and not too intrusive and would definitely recommend this cottage.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you very much for your glowing report. We are delighted that your stay at Restwell was a pleasurable one and that you enjoyed exploring the surrounding area. We’d also like to thank you for brining to our attention your confusion over the separate heating charge which we have now included an explanation within our welcome folder in the cottage. As stated, this payment, and now the pet charge, is payable directly to the owner. It was our pleasure to meet your family.
