an excellent cosy property, with all the amenities, hence a place I could recommend to couples, the one let down was the mattress on the bed which was very soft and felt a little dated, apart from that we were very satisfied and would be prepared to visit again

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for leaving a positive review of Puddleduck Cottage, we are really pleased you enjoyed your stay and that you would recommend Puddleduck Cottage to others. Thank you also for your comment in the Visitors book stating you had a very comfortable stay. We are very sorry to hear you found the mattress was not to your liking. We would like to point out that the mattress is of good quality and was purchased in 2017 from Marks and Spencer. It is a standard double sized Lambswool Comfort 1800 mattress which M&S describe as follows: ‘Our lamb’s wool comfort 1800 mattress makes for a luxurious night’s sleep, with a double layer of individually pocketed springs to cushion your sleeping body and provide reactive full body support. Eight vents allow this soft mattress to breathe and additional layers of super soft cotton fibres and lamb’s wool add to the snug comforting feel.’ As accommodation providers, it is very difficult to find a mattress that suits everyone’s taste. We have taken your comments on board and will perhaps purchase a firmer mattress next time.

A most comfortable cottage, immaculately clean, with most helpful and friendly owners, which included delivery of morning papers. Overall a most enjoyable weeks break with the plus of a private garden.

Puddleduck cottage is just lovely, it was very cold the week we were there but the cottage was cosy and warm. Very well equipped cottage and the owners very frienďly. Lots of places to visit nearby and The Vernon Arms in Southrepps was a brilliant place to eat. Perfect enclosed escape proof garden for our dog who stayed with us.

Lovely clean cottage with all amenities. Only one fault, found the bed to small.
