Excellent walking along the cliff top trail and 18-hole cliff top golf course and the club house nearby. Just 250 yards from the town centre with its wealth of shops. There are plenty of restaurants and inns to choose from. Sample the fresh seafood and shellfish, catch of the day may be purchased direct from the returning fishing boats or simply enjoy a choice of take out meals from the many restaurants. This was a last minute booking therefore there wasn’t much availability. I think I paid a discounted price. The POSITIVES to the Mayflower: the location, the space, comfortable clean beds, free Wi-Fi, free parking and the owner was available and very helpful. I was worried it was going to be noisy from road noise and people coming and going in the other apartments but it WASN’T. The Mayflower was was clean but stained in places. The NEGATIVES: kitchen and equipment was very basic (but we ate out mostly), the flat needs updating, it’s an all electric apartment with electricity by meter (although I believe it is subsidised by the owner). I would have liked it more if all the stained carpets were renewed and the shower cubicle and shower head renewed too.
