We stayed at lilac cottage in March. We arrived at 3.00pm. On going into the cottage we felt at home straight away it was just perfect. Nick the owner came to introduce himself later on and showed us how to work the appliances and hot tub. The cottage was fantastic, well equipped with everything you need couldn't fault it in anyway. The cleanliness of the cottage was spot on, everywhere was spotless, and lovely clean bedding on the bed. The hot tub we didn't use but we could see it was spot on for people whom use it. The garden is lovely full of plants. There is a few steps in the garden and I'm disabled which I managed them OK. We brought our jack Russell Alfie and even Alfie felt at home he loved it very much. The garden is ideal for Alfie which had gates on the garden to keep Alfie safe. Our stay at the cottage was fantastic we felt really relaxed. Plenty of dvds to watch which helped us to relax in the evening. The bathroom has a shower and a bath and we must say such a lovely deep bath. Prestatyn is a lovely clean place and has a fantastic chippy in the town not far from the cottage the chips were delicious. There is a tesco not far away from the cottage to buy in things we needed. Overall such a lovely relaxing holiday in a fabulous 200 year old cottage lovely host Nick whom was very helpful. You will not regret staying in this cottage definitely 10/10 on everything, our dog Alfie enjoyed it 10/10 for dog friendly.

Having just returned from a fantastic week at Lilac Cottage, I can honestly say that it has been one of the best holidays we have ever had. The cottage suited us perfectly and the hot tub was a lovely extra. Nick couldn't have been more helpful and attentive to our needs. He was on hand to answer and questions or problems we had. The cottage is in a great location, close to shops and amenities. We will definitely be visiting again!

I Was not to impressed with lilic cottages😕 1. Parking is not great getting in and out can be a bit of it pain 😕 2. There were no bin liners. half a toilet roll already on no cleaning cloths and insufficient cleaning products no pegs for the washing line theses we had to go out and buy😕 3. We were unable to open any windows in the living room . Kitchen or bed rooms they had been painted shut.. 😕 4. When stripping the sheets of one of the single beds we found that both the quilt and bed liner had quite a lot of urine stains on them 😕 5. To be honest we had quite a few niggles with this cottage. . But on the plus side the hot tub was great 👍 6. But on that note I would not recommend this to my friends or family. .. we have been doing cottages now going on for 25 years plus we have about 4 a year. This one dose not make it in to our top 10 at all. 😕

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for the comments which I would like to respond to as I believe they do not accurately reflect the situation during the Guests' stay at Lilac Cottage. We have not received any previous guests' comments with regards to the parking. The drive is a large drive and easily caters for parking of 2 vehicles and access to the drive is from a main road. We have not received any previous guests’ comments about lack of bin liners, cleaning cloths/cleaning products etc. These are supplied. It is a pity we were not notified of this during the Guests' stay as the matter could easily have been dealt with had we known. The windows have security locks fitted to them which can be opened if required. No issues were reported to us during the Guests' stay. We have not received any previous reports with regards to the bedding of the nature described apart from the comfort of the beds. All bedding is washed and ironed before each Guest’s stay as a matter of course. The general comments received from guests are very complimentary about Lilac Cottage saying how clean and comfortable and equipped the Cottage is and that the hosts were helpful. Some guests have already said they would come again and other guests have highly recommended Lilac Cottage. Finally, we have to disagree with the Guests' scores on comfort and equipment, cleanliness, value for money and overall rating as borne out by the average scores of 8.6, 8.8, 8.9 and 8.6, respectively (after the Guests' review).

Loved the cottage, execellent for dogs. We took our Great Dane and she was instantly at home there. Only thing we feel the need to feedback on is that the hot tub water didn't seem as clean as it could be, and certainly wasn't as clean as other hot tubs we have used. Weather was so hot, but the cottage stayed lovely and cool inside and we had a lovely comfortable stay, so thank you.
