Great location, parking on road but no problem with this. Walks from the door to Monmouth, Tintern along the river, Newlands and Redbrook over the bridge. Very good dog friendly pub next door with garden. Cottage spacious for 4. Very steep steps to decking area. Overall ideal spot and would return.

Fab spot, right by the Wye, next door to a pub, opposite a footbridge

Lovely little cottage, a little dark inside but this is obviously due to the nature of the location. Everything we needed. The steep steps outside are not for the faint hearted and I wouldn’t trust myself to go up and down them many times. Really lovely spot next to the bridge. Pub food a little basic and dated but was given a warm welcome. Great for a weekend away

The cottage wasn’t quite up to a 4 star in my opinion, just the general feel was a bit worn, also the stairs were a real problem for my mother they were very steep. Can’t complain about the area it is beautiful but staying there in the winter it’s difficult to go anywhere other than the pub next door as the foot bridge was slippery and dark.

Lovely, comfortable cottage in an idelic spot on the river Wye. Superb location for exploring the surrounding countryside, real home from home. Only downside is the extremely high steps to decking (not good if you frightened of heights) and no Wi-Fi. Nice cosy pub next door and well stocked shop over the river. Would definitely book again.
