We thoroughly enjoyed our midweek break at Hen Feudy. The approach to the cottage had numerous potholes that couldn't be avoided. However the location, the accommodation, the stream, woodburning fire, the stars through the bedroom rooflight, fresh eggs from the chickens and ducks, the welcoming and informative approach of the owners, Pauline and Paul made the journey so worthwhile. We would definitely stay at Hen Feudy again.

We had a great time here and it’s situated with good access to a large number of locations for those interested in outdoor activities. A few of the interior items are a little tired and need updating, though this is in the process of being done. Do try the local produce offered, it is truly delicious.

A fantastic location for discovering south Snowdonia park. The access road is a bit tricky, the cottage is fine, the TV which has a SKY box is ok but the remotes did not work.

Lovely secluded cottage, warm, clean, homely. Just a couple of things I'd alter. Newer more comfortable chair and sofas, and laminate or vinyl flooring in lounge. I was constantly worried about my dog marking the carpet.....which unfortunately is exactly what happened. Apart from that, it's a wonderful place to stay.

While the cottage is in a wonderful location , and the facilities and welcome items appreciated , the cottage needs maintainance . We did note a previous visitor had comment on this issue in the visitors book, with no apparent work. example entrance, patio and conservatory doors fail to close properly. Insufficient hot water supply for family. We selected this property as specifically as "dog friendly", but this was not the case. On arrival we were informed " keep the dogs on leads" due to roaming livestock! The cottage would be ideal, if some maintainance.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner. We are sorry we were unable to grant your last-minute request for two additional guests in Hen Fuedy but the cottage can only accommodate five people. We hope this did not spoil your visit. We did ask twice during the week if everything in the cottage was satisfactory and if you had mentioned you were having trouble with the patio doors we could have shown you the nack to opening and closing them. Dogs are very welcome and are entirely free to roam in the one acre fenced garden. Beyond that are sheep fields and a smallholding with free-range chickens and ducks where it is appropriate for most dogs to be kept on a lead.

Lovely cosy cottage, we had everything we needed. Our children and dogs loved the stream. Fantastic walks straight from the door. The cottage garden was so peaceful, definitely a must if you're looking for a tranquil place to relax. The owners were so welcoming, and they made so much effort to ensure we had all we needed. The owners keep bees and had chicks which they showed our children, they loved this. Overall a fantastic place to stay.

Lovely cottage set in gorgeous private 1 acre garden. Comfy and cosy atmosphere with all items needed inside. Clean and tidy and owners next door if needed. 10 mins drive to miles of sandy beach at Fairbourne- safe to swim - and plenty of walking from doorstep. Main shops, fuel&food etc 15 mins drive to Dolgellau. Would definitely recommend/return.
