Simply beautiful cottage with everything you need for a fabulous stay. Extremely clean and everything very good quality. Wonderful hosts and very pet friendly. Very warm when we went so the only thing that could add to the cottage is fans in the bedrooms. Perfect other than that and wouldn't hesitate to recommend and would love to return.

FANTASTIC......the best cottage we have ever stayed in. From start to finish everything was perfect. Hilary & John are fantastic hosts & there if you need anything. Dog friendly which is great no worry of our dog getting out. The views from the living area & hot tub are out of this world, so nice at the end of the day to relax in the hot tub admiring the view. The cottage is on a quiet lane & the only noise you can hear are the sheep. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you would need. The decor is beautiful & Hilary & John have thought of all the little touches which make Wern Ddu Cottage home from home. We will definitely recommend to friends & family & hopefully return soon. Thanks again for a fabulous holiday

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your kind words. Its always a pleasure to know that our guests enjoyed their stay and appreciate the work we put into creating the sort of cottage we would love to stay in. As dog owners, we also like hearing that the property was very dog friendly. Thanks for the card and the lovely bottle of wine... it was a very nice surprise.

A fantastic cottage with views that could change with the weather and seasons and you would never tire of admiring. A spotlessly clean cottage with plenty of kit, pots pans knives etc for cooking. Two fridges which become useful as this cottage is remote and you will need a car so best stock up on food and drinks. You could walk to the nearest village and pop into the pub that serves food, however it's mostly open in the evening and I can't imagine the walk back in the dark on an a very winding narrow road would be a good idea! The shop in the village is well stocked with a lot more than was expected. Our only downside was we always take the dog's and the enclosed garden is very small with a low fence, and not ideal for our dogs, so we mostly put the dogs on leads and went over to a shared paddock. The garden slopes to the left of the picture window and decking area with the hot tub to the right, the road runs across the front of the property below the decking area and is quiet. My partner used the hot tub one night but I prefer a bit of shelter around the tubs and this has none and looks over the country lane.

Response on behalf of the owner; So glad you enjoyed the cottage and the views, they are fantastic aren't they. We never tire of looking at the views either. Many thanks for the gardening tips.

Beautifully rebuilt barn incorporating top quality modern facilities. Location is excellent for country views, peace and rural tranquility. Perfect for two couples or, like us, a couple enjoying a chilled out week. Hot tub was great and welcome at the end of a day's walking. Location is reached via a single track Road, but traffic very light. John and Hilary made us very welcome.

What an (all too brief) stay! Absolutely stunning scenery, exceptionally clean and well appointed cottage, what's not to like? Lorraine and Des were fantastic, coming to rescue us from the depths of the countryside when our satnav had a mental breakdown. We loved sitting outside for breakfast watching the Buzzards getting airborne at the end of the valley, then working their way along towards and past us. In the hot tub at night with a bottle of wine looking at the fantastic backdrop of a star filled sky, that's what I call a mini break. Arrived Friday night totally stressed, left Monday totally chilled. We will definitely be returning and have told friends and family to get on and book a break for themselves too.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your lovely feedback on the cottage and spreading the word to your friends and family. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and were able to destress after your stressful Friday night journey. We are looking forward to welcoming you back next March.

A nicely appointed and laid out cottage. Great views from the lounge plus bedrooms. Hot tub was lovely but a covering of some description would have made it more suitable to all weather use. Advisable to stock up on essentials en route to the cottage as local shops are scarce. Nice location for visiting Lake Vyrnwy and its superb walks, even in the snow. Hosts very helpful. On arrival the property was both clean and warm and the Welsh cakes were a nice touch. A lovely holiday was had by the whole family and the break from work was indeed very welcome. Binoculars would have be usefull as buzzards and red kites were a constant sight over the valley.
