Situated on the upper outskirts of the village of Talsarnau on a quiet lane to the tranquil Caerffynnon Hall Estate and at the foot of a private wood with the ruins of an 11th-century look-out, this peaceful coastal village is within easy driving distance to both the town of Porthmadog, home of the Ffestiniog Railway and the seaside village of Harlech with its mighty Edward I castle. The cottage was perfect. Lively view, comfortable, clean and spacious. We loved the decking area too. I was really impressed with the care and professional approach of and those looking after the cottages. There was an issue with the linen and the agent and the lovely caretaker and cleaner all dealt with it within a few hours because they genuinely wanted it to be all perfect. Everyone really cared. Thankyou. We felt very welcome.

No WiFi despite reporting it was not fixed. Online photos of the cottage interior did not match the current interior. Excellent quiet location, great views.

This is a lovely bungalow in a peaceful setting with superb views over the Afon estuary with Portmeirion in the distance. However, there are a few drawbacks, the hot water only dribbles in the kitchen and bathroom but the electric shower is fine, the dining table is very high with stools which we did not find convenient and the wifi failed completely the whole week which was a nuisance as I needed it for work - a mobile wifi device would be a useful replacement. In all other aspects it was very good, the bungalow was well appointed, warm and immaculately clean and the light fittings have to be seen to be believed!

This is a lovely cottage, recently renovated, in a great location. Although it has six beds, it is perhaps better suited to four people, as there are not six seats at either of the indoor or outdoor tables. We were unfortunate in that the WiFi was down for the whole week (but have received a refund to compensate), the fridge door was broken, and all of the windows were locked during a very hot week. I have brought these, faults to the attention of the owner, and am sure they will be resolved. In all, I would highly recommend the cottage, and would happily return.
