Further afield, Porthmadog is a charming harbour town. From here, you can hop on the Ffestiniog or Welsh Highland Railways for a scenic journey through some of the most beautiful landscapes in Wales. The area is a walker’s paradise, with numerous trails to explore. The Mawddach Trail, a gentle 9-mile route along a disused railway line, offers stunning estuary views.
