Sympathetically decorated, the owners have mixed traditional features and antique furniture with modern furnishings and facilities, creating a very comfortable family home. There are four bedrooms upstairs; three double rooms and one twin room on the first floor, and an additional single day bed in the double bedroom on the second floor. All the bedrooms enjoy spectacular views across the gardens, and countryside beyond. Enjoy the two large living rooms on the ground floor, both with patio doors onto the garden and the added bonus of an extremely well-equipped kitchen. The house lies in its own enclosed grounds and offers a well maintained garden to relax in, a perfect spot for a morning coffee or why not gather around the firepit in the evenings.
This period property lies in the rural village of Botwnnog, a short drive to many of the Llyn Peninsula’s fabulous coastal villages and beaches including Abersoch, Llanbedrog, Hells Mouth, Whistling Sands, Aberdaron and Nefyn. Abersoch is a 15 minute drive from Ty’r Ysgol - it has many shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes along with an incredible beach which stretches away for as far as the eye can see. Venture beyond Abersoch to Porth Ceiriad for surfing or coastal walks. Llanbedrog beach with its picture-postcard beach huts is a really long, sandy beach. In the summer months there is a beach bar and cafe open near the entrance to the beach which is a great place to have a drink, ice-cream meal or just watch the sun go down. For the best surfing in the area head to Hell’s Mouth (Porth Neigwi), a dramatic beach with a fabulous backdrop of the Rhiw Hillsides.

Lovely house, very well equipped and only 15 minutes from nearby beaches in Abersoch and Aberdaron. We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to return.

We stayed here as a group family holiday; myself, husband, daughter, brother, sister in law, nephew and mother for 5 nights. The cottage is undoubtedly beautiful. The gardens are well kept and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked and the small welcome pack of essentials appreciated. The general cleanliness was fine for us however there were areas that were lacking, at the sides of the sofas and under a couple of tables / towel radiators a bit dusty and several cobwebs around various corners but nothing that affected our stay and we were fine with it, but others may not be. The cottage is on the outskirts of a small residential area, any shops and other local amenities are a good 15 to 20 minute drive away but we knew this when booking and that was fine with us, it is quite isolated but that’s what we wanted it is very peaceful and relaxing. The only negative for us was the bedroom on the top floor, it was very difficult to get a good nights sleep as there is some equipment in a cupboard which makes a very loud continuous screeching and whirring whenever anyone uses a tap anywhere else in the house. This did cause several disturbed nights and / or mornings. Apart from that, our stay was relaxing, peaceful and everything we were expecting. We would definitely stay here again, just not in the top bedroom!
