Rose cottage is set on a small holding where you get a warm welcome, the cottage is ideal for 2 people and 2 dogs, super dog friendly, it was beautiful and clean and comfy. The only down side is that there needs to be chopping boards for meat and veg, and a larger frying pan, I have said these things to the owner so hopefully this will be sorted. Will be recommending rose cottage to friends and family and we would very happily stay again and we may be booking again soon.

Rose Cottage is one of three one-bedroom units in a converted farm building. The conversion has been done recently, to a high standard, and the interior is very attractive and comfortable. The heating is very effective and is controlled from within, so that one can keep the cottage at a very comfortable temperature. The beds and armchairs are very comfortable. On the downside, it appears that the building was once a cow-byre or even pigsties, because the 'gardens' are small enclosures, each with a cement floor and quite a high wall. This is covered by plastic grass and is not attractive. There is nowhere to sit outside on a fine day and admire the view because the walls are too high. Everything is spotlessly clean and freshly painted, however. Really, decking is needed, to make the outdoor area more pleasant and raise the level of the sitting area. Another issue with Rose Cottage is that there is nowhere to park directly outside the cottage.. Everything must be carried through two gates and around the side of the cottage. The parking area is generous, however, and very neat and well-kept. There are a number of other farm buildings around the parking area and it appears that in due course, they could all be converted into holiday cottages. The farm and outbuildings are built in typical West-Walian style. They are simply built and not pretty, although they are very well-maintained. The owners have bought the farm quite recently and it may well be that, as time goes by, they will plant shrubs and generally beautify the farm. It does not appear to be a working farm. Equipment in the cottage includes a dishwasher, fridge and freezer, all immaculate. There are towels, loo rolls and hand-wash in the immaculate bathroom. The attractive kitchen area has very basic cooking equipment, as well as dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid and teatowels. The oven and hob are electric and of good quality. I could have done with a scouring pad, a sieve and a larger frying pan. The one in the cupboard will hold two fried eggs; a rasher of bacon is too long to fit. These are small gripes. Actually, the cottage is beautifully equipped. I would certainly recommend this cottage as a holiday venue. There are plenty of interesting places within quite easy reach, including beaches. The nearest supermarket is a small Co-operative in Whitland, a couple of miles away. The nearest eating place is a pub within easy walking distance.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments on Rose Cottage, it was originally a calf rearing building. We appreciate that the plastic grass is not pretty but a lot nicer than bare concrete. We are sorry we cannot alter the height of the wall which is 1.3 meters high, as the goats can reach over it now. Although when you were staying, the animals were not in that field. We take on board the possibility of a small decking area. We apologize for not informing you that there is patio furniture and loungers etc. available. Not out at this time of year, due to inclement weather and low temperature. Thank you for your many nice comments.

Great cottage for two, on a small holding with two other one bed cottages. Very well equipped with most things provided, towels, heating etc ands just a few hundred yards from a very good pub/restaurant. Close to the south coast and seven miles of beautiful Pendine Sands. Easy access to most of the south coast holiday towns and villages (for a day out in the all to frequent wet weather) or the wonderful Coast Path. A little gem of a place.
