Nestled beautifully down a quiet country lane in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, this holiday cottage has been carefully restored to a high standard, retaining much of its original character. The former barn, dating back to the early 19th century, has been beautifully converted into a delightful retreat for both families and couples. The open plan living area has been decorated with a rustic charm using neutral tones. It features exposed beams and a traditional wood-burning stove for cosy nights in. Outside, relax in the private garden and enjoy alfresco dining, or stroll in the nearby scenic Stackpole Estate (NT) and discover its fantastic walks and beautiful sites including the glistening Bosherston Lily Ponds, famous for its otters and water lilies, and the stunning beaches at Broadhaven and Barafundle, with their golden sands and crystal blue waters.
The historic walled town of Pembroke is just 3 miles away and features a magnificent Norman castle, which is famous as the birthplace of Henry VII. The bustling coastal resort of Tenby is within easy reach and is renowned for its picturesque harbour, narrow cobbled streets and pastel painted Georgian houses. It has a variety of boutique gift shops, traditional pubs and highly acclaimed restaurants.
Take a boat trip to the historic island of Caldey, with its Celtic monastery and Cistercian monks, who have made it a holy island for hundreds of years. Away from the coast, explore the rolling hills of Preseli and discover its ancient sites dotted along its rugged terrain, or visit the market town of Narbeth, with its antique shops, art galleries and numerous cafés and tasteful restaurants. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

By far the best resistance we've stayed at, the only drawback was that we didn't feel that we could walk directly from the house.

We had a lovely week at Swallow Barn and the cottage has everything you need for a self-catering break. The cottage is very comfortable and could easily accommodate 4 adults. The enclosed private garden was ideal for our dog to roam freely. The cottage is very private and not overlooked at all but is ideally located close to excellent walking on the coast path and for visiting nearby beaches and towns. We would highly recommend Swallow Barn and hope to return ourselves in the future.

We had a fantastic stay at Swallow Barn on our first holiday with our one year old dog. The cottage was lovely and cosy and in a quiet location next to the brilliant Stackpole estate. We spent days on the lovely long dog friendly beaches as well as bat watching in the evening and visiting Pembroke castle. We hope to be back to stay at Swallow Barn again.
