Lovely house, quiet with lovely view, patio overlooking the estuary, small garden as you enter the gate. Nice big lounge-diner,plenty of hot water, let down by the cleaners. We arrived at 4.15, the cleaner was just leaving. They hadn't swept any floors, or polished any wooden furniture , there was dust on everything including all rooms upstairs. Towels were grubby with one bath towell having mud on it. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the holiday. If the owners give the cleaners a pep talk, everything would be just right.

The cottage is beautiful and the location amazing. Watching the river come in and out is so relaxing. We were glad to have taken our binoculars as we were constantly wanting to know what the different birds were. Unfortunately we didn't find the cottage to be very clean. There were thick cobwebs in corners in the kitchen, hall and down stairs toilet and the main bedroom had thick dust on both bedside tables and it looked like dust had been swept up to the bedside table on the left side. The table was dirty with what looked like baked beans all over it. The table mats were also all dirty as were some of the pots. Some of the towels had yellow stains on them and a tea towel bad a burn hole in it, so seeing all this on arrival put a real downer on things that first night, but once we cleaned some of these things ourselves we were able to finally relax. I suggest a good clean is done throughout the cottage, with new towels and then it would get a 5 star rating.
