This property is part of our Cottages4you collection

In superb locations and beautiful settings. Cottages4you gives you a fantastic range of hand-picked properties with quality you can rely on.

This holiday cottage is ideal for a couple who wish to explore the delights of the Pembrokeshire Coast.

Shared 17-acre grounds with woodland walks

Lying peacefully down a quiet country lane between the bustling coastal resorts of Pendine and Amroth, these traditional Welsh barns (refs 29463, 30251, 30252, 30521 and 30522) have been restored to a very good standard and make a perfect touring base for couples or families looking for a seaside getaway. Situated on a small holding complex with a small farm shop on-site, the former barns dating back to the 18th century retain much of their original charm and character, with each room having comfortable furnishings and amenities for that unforgettable holiday experience. Coastal Wood Holidays received the highest accolade of Gold at the Carmarthenshire Tourism Awards, as awarded by the Tourism Asociation. These properties are nestled between Amroth beach and Pendine Sands in the beautiful Pembrokeshire National Park, with 17 acres of natural grounds and woodland walks, which lead to the spectacular coastal path, where guests can discover the hidden Horseshoe Coves and unblemished tranquil beaches dotted along the coast. The charming village of Amroth is close by, posing a selection of traditional pubs, restaurants, cafes and a sandy beach. Just a stone’s throw away are the picturesque harbour towns of Saundersfoot and Tenby, offering an array of boutique gift shops, art galleries and restaurants with freshly caught fish always on the menu. Explore the off-shore island of Caldey and share the serenity and tranquillity of the Cistercian monks, or take a sea safari along the dramatic coast, cruising close to sea birds, seals and the occasional dolphin. Away from the coast, the rolling countryside is just as promising with its array of traditional market towns dotted around the country including Narberth and Haverfordwest as well as the numerous enchanted sites including Pembroke and Carew Castles. Visit Oakwood, Folly Farm and Bluestone for action packed day out. Dairy Cottage (30523) and The Buttery (30522) have an interconnecting door and can be booked together to sleep 8. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

The Nook was very comfortable for a couple and very sensibly set up to be dog friendly. It was very well equipped and a lot of thought had been put into making us welcome. There was plenty of room to walk the dogs and access to public footpaths. The Old Wood Store was stacked with books,DVD's,maps, games and info as well as a surprising supply of grocery items.Access to the cottage from the parking area was good for unloading/loading.The owners were extremely heplful and friendly. All in all we had a thoroughly enjoyable Christmas break and would certainly recommend the Nook.

The only problem with the accommodation was the fiendishly low beams in the bedroom which meant you couldn't stand up and had to crawl in and out of the bed. Don't visit if you have mobility problems. The bathroom is a long way from the bedroom - down the stairs - across the kitchen and hall.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback regarding The Nook. It’s great to know you enjoyed your holiday cottage, apart from the issue with the bedroom. The description of the cottage does however state that the bedroom has sloping ceilings with low beams and that the bathroom is situated downstairs. In addition, the agent informs guests with their booking information that ‘the king size bed is situated under the eaves, therefore headroom and access is partially restricted with sloping ceilings and low beams’. The height from the floor to ceiling apex is 2 meters high so there is sufficient space in the bedroom. The Nook has the highest rebooking rate of all our cottages and guests enjoy the snug room with its wood burning stove, spacious double heighted kitchen / dining area, as well as the romantic mezzanine bedroom. For guests with mobility issues we have two specially adapted cottages Buttery 30522 and Dairy Cottage 30523. Both are on one level with open plan living, four-poster bed and have a large wet room. With regards to ‘local amenities’, there are nearby convenience stores, fantastic pubs and sea fronted cafes in Amroth and Pendine, as well as basic provisions in our communal area. Further afield, Narberth is shortlisted in the forthcoming Great British High Street Awards and there is an abundance of quality local suppliers in the nearby villages and towns. We hope you visit us again and enjoy this wonderful area of West Wales.

Beautiful little cottage, very comforting, very clean and allows you to relax completely. Just mind out for the beams in the bedroom when opening those windows! The owners have been very thoughtful in the design and presentation of this cottage and it provided us with a wonderful stay, we would be very keen to return! The pebal peach is only a 5 minute drive and is gorgeous when the sun is out. A great location for visiting different towns; Saundersfoot and Tenby.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your kind review of The Nook. We hope you were aware that the beams in the bedroom are low so hope it was not too much of an inconvenience. It is great you liked the cottage and enjoyed the nearby beaches. We hope to see you again.
