We enjoyed our break at the Squinty House but we found the rather steep staircase a bit of a challenge. The house was beautifully clean and well equipped but for us, a downstairs bathroom is now a must.

The squinty house was a home from home. Lovely cottage. Great location, great weather and the owners went above and beyond to make the stay memorable. A great location to explore the east coast and all its lovely villages and beaches which the dog loved also.

A lovely cottage which was spotlessly clean and included a very generous welcome pack, plus a bottle of wine and flowers.

Very clean cottage and the welcome pack was amazing, fresh flowers, wine, fresh milk, coffee, tea, biscuits, chocolates. Would highly recommend to anyone. Also very helpful owners who went out of there way to parcel a pair of shoes we left behind. Lovely people. Thank you so much for a fantastic 4 night stay.

We had a great holiday the only problem we had was the dog situation. When we booked we were told we could take our dog in that time no one told us you could not leave him alone in the property. If we were told this we could have made other arrangements for him you can't take your dog to every place you go so this became a problem for us if it was not finding a lovely lady to look after him we would have had to cut our holiday short.I feel that if leaving your dog on its own sometimes is a problem for this cottage then maybe they should not have dogs there we were certainly not going to take him with us and leave him in the car.So on that note I was quit disappointed with this cottage and the dog matter won't be recommending this cottage to friends and family but would come again to the cottage company for another cottage.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments - we are pleased you enjoyed your holiday. We totally appreciate your dilemma however as dog friendly accommodation, we try to strike a happy medium as we cater for non-dog Owners too. It is our understanding that rules about not leaving pets alone are standard for most holiday providers. Thank you for leaving us with dog sitter details, we hope that this will help future guests. Thank you again for your feedback.

We had a nice week in the Squinty House, very comfy and roomy. Nothing was forgotten with many extras included. Everything was provided for, I wouldrecommend it for a base to see the area and visit the Farnes .
