Description

This first floor holiday apartment enjoys sea views from the open plan living space and the lovely double bedroom.

With magnificent sea views, and ideal for a couple, discover this delightful first floor holiday apartment, accessed by the archetypal outer staircase in one of the most historic and picturesque areas of Fife, with pretty fishing villages, beautiful beaches and coves. Situated in the heart of the conservation village of Cellardyke just a few steps from the shore, guests can explore the quaint wynds and lanes, the old fishing port lined with charming houses, and unspoilt scenery on foot from your front door. From the comfort of the shared south facing garden, guests can wonder at the wildlife, follow the fishermen bringing in their daily catch, or just while away the hours with a good book and a glass of wine. Visit St Andrews 10 miles away, and Edinburgh, Stirling and Perth all within an hour’s drive.

I had an enjoyable stay, but some fresh milk on arrival would have been appreciated as I had a long bus journey to get there and the first thing I wanted was a cuppa! there were little tubs of milk but they were all off! Also, surely one toilet roll and no soap in the bathroom is not much good. I didn't have any transport and the nearest "shop" was back in Anstruther. Luckily some friends came to visit and took me to St. Andrews where I managed to get the essentials.

I would highly recommend this property. The only criticism is that the heater in the living room does not work. It became quite cool on one of the evenings during our stay

Good venue for a couple with a small car. On road parking is difficult immediate to the property. The complimentary boat trip out to the Isle of May is good value if you are a bird/wildlife fan. Good local walking along the coast and great fish and chips in "Anster".
