A lovely cottage in a great location, in the country but close to main roads and cities, lots to do, too much to fit it all in! The only thing that would make this cottage absolutely perfect would be a private garden or patio area as at present the cottage patio is open to the owner's garden.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thanks for your lovely comments. The cottages private patio isn't overlooked. We purposely haven’t completely enclosed the patio as the entire 1 and half acres of garden are available for guests to enjoy. If we did completely fence in the patio it would detract from the long range views which many guests appreciate.

Absolutely beautiful cottage - without a doubt the best property that we've found so far! The owners are really kind and made us feel very welcome - they provided an information pack full of recommendations and hints and tips for the area which we found invaluable. We are a young couple with a toddler (14 months) and the cottage was beautiful, clean throughout and really safe. We would strongly reccommend this cottage, especially for a family of 3 or 4 as the upstairs mezzanine bedroom is a brilliant hideaway for the kids! We will definitely be back - thank you.

We received a warm welcome from the owners - Kemper & Jane. Who genuinely seemed to want us to enjoy our stay in their property. The cottage is 'top-class'. Good quality fixtures and fittings ... a really comfortable bed, a lovely bathroom and a wonderful shower! Lovely scenery and a good local pub which did nice meals. We enjoyed our holiday - sincere thanks!

We had a lovely time at the cottage. The family were very welcoming and helpful. The cottage was bigger than expect and in a quiet tranquil location. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would definitely visit again.

The location of the Cottage is perfect for exploring Cheshire, it has easy access to Chester, the zoo and the beautiful delamere forest. It is located in a lovely space close to the owners house and is well equipped. The wood burner and underfloor heating work well together creating a warm and welcoming space in winter. It has two draw backs however. The second bed room on the mezzanine is difficult to use as there is no door separating it from the living room, if you are a couple using the cottage it will be fine but for families with young children (as we were) or two couples it is far from idea. It could easily be rectified with a sliding door, even a curtain would have helped us. Secondly, there is a constant buzz in the main bedroom which becomes a problem when trying to sleep, I fortunately had ear plugs with me but otherwise it would have proven a difficult nights sleep. We tried to locate the source but believe it emirates from the garage at the rear of the cottage which we were unable to access. The cottage is otherwise lovely, well appointed, very clean with excellent furnishings and equipment.

Response on behalf of the owner; Many thanks for your comments. One of the three bedroom dimmer switches was dimmed to its minimum. You would have thought the light was out, but have heard the buzzing from the switch. If we had not been on holiday ourselves, we would have been able to cure it for you quickly, but glad it did not disturb you too much. With regard to the upstairs bedroom, it is set amongst the king post trusses and at 6ft tall I can stand comfortably in the middle of the room. However as the ceilings then slope to the edges of the room as shown on the photographs, it actually makes it extremely difficult to fit a practical door, sliding or otherwise, as it will always clash with ceiling on opening. Children and families however, generally love this room, as it is very large at 26ft by 16ft and has a galleried sitting area in front of the bedroom access. With the galleried area this puts the twin beds at some 40 feet from the living areas and the room itself is not set over any of the other cottage accommodation, which makes it peaceful. Further with the gallery it means there is no visibility from the downstairs accommodation into the upstairs bedroom. As a modern conversion, the cottage is fully compliant with the current building regulations.
