This cosy, authentically restored 19th-century mill worker’s cottage is situated at the foot of Teggs Nose hill in the village of Langley, a charming village on the Cheshire/Derbyshire border on the western edge of the Peak District. Nestled between Macclesfield Forest and Teggs Nose Country Park the area makes a superb location for walking and mountain biking. An ascent of Shutingsloe, the ‘Cheshire Matterhorn, can be undertaken directly from the village. As well as being a haven for walkers and mountain bikers, the area boasts a plethora of attractions including the global award winning Forest Gin Distillery and the delicious Blaze Farm ice cream farm. Nearby towns of Macclesfield, Buxton and Leek provide a fabulous selection of artisan shops, markets, coffee shops, bars and restaurants. With two pubs in the village and six pubs within a good walking distance of the cottage, there’s sure to be something to please everyone! The cottage boasts a roof top balcony which overlooks the beautiful rolling hills and a stream at the bottom of the garden, a choice of areas to relax and enjoy the evening sun! On chillier evenings, the cosy living room is the perfect place to relax after a day’s activities.
