Shanklin is perhaps the most popular location on the Isle of Wight for a traditional family holiday by the sea. Shanklin can be found in the pleasant Sandown Bay area on the east side of the island. A trip to the impressive natural gorge and waterfall known as Shanklin Chine is also highly recommended. This is a beautiful wooded area with some excellent views of the island and some rare plants and wildlife to discover.
