Westward Ho! cottages
Tucked away in north Devon, this picturesque and popular seaside village has so much to offer. Developed by the Victorians to satisfy their appetite for the English seaside they named the village after the popular Charles Kingsley novel of the same name. Renowned for its catchy punctuation it is a haven for watersport enthusiasts, especially surfers, kite or windsurfers. The two-mile golden sandy beach is perfect for a traditional bucket and spade holiday, with its gently sloping sands towards the sea, making it incredibly family-friendly. Along with some breathtaking coastal walks along the top of Kipling Tors, make sure you take your binoculars, as this area is known for its biodiversity and variety of birds and wildlife. With a packed agenda of festivals throughout the year, from flowers, Arts, Literature and the legendary Potwalloping Festival which is held in May every year.
